2004 Mercury Marauder
Price: $9500

1 of the few Dark Toreador Red
(You will not pass youself on the highway J)

I have owned this car since March of last year and I have enjoyed every minute of it. It has power everything and all of the options (like the spoiler and keyless entry) except for a sun roof. It has the DOHC, all aluminum, 32 valve, 4.6 liter engine producing 302 hp and 318 ft/lb of torque. I have personally owned this car since it had 63,000 miles on it and it now has 87,390 miles and almost every one of those miles is highway. This car has been adult owned, maintained and serviced with synthetic oil every 3500 miles, and has never abused in any way. The interior is the light flint leather, the drive train is completely stock except for a K&N air filter, and it hasn’t a flaw on the body.

The only reason that I am selling this car is because I drive too much back and forth to school and work for it to continue to be economically feasible to drive it anymore. This car will get a consistent 23 MPG if you drive it at 55 mph but only like 16-17 in town. As you can see I have driven over 25,000 miles in a year in this car and it is getting time for me to get a more economic car.

Thanks for looking and just call me at (910) 471-9634 and my name is Eric if you have any questions and if you want to come look at the car. My price is pretty firm but I am in Wilmington, North Carolina every weekday if you ever want to take a look at it.

And for those who want to know, the VIN# is available upon request as well as 28 pics that I have taken of the car. I also have a craigslist posting at http://wilmington.craigslist.org/cto/1769008498.html

Yep, I have had 3 people call me and say "If only it was black I would come and get it." I personally like the DTR because you just don't see that many of them. I hate to sell it but I need something different. I will also consider partial trades with money if anyone has a decent SVT Contour or something else that is fun to drive and good on gas.

Is the SC T-Bird running? Those were my favorite T-Birds!:)

I like those Turbo T-Birds myself. I had a 1988 Sport in '91.

Sorry to hear that you have sell your MM. There seems to be a lot of that happening lately.

To answer one question, no the Turbocoupe no longer runs because the person I sold it to ripped the engine out and put it in a Notch back mustang and then crushed the tbird. :( I shouldn't have sold it. I still have my 1996 SHO and a 72 Pinto with a 351W/C4/narrowed 9" to keep my Marauder company though. But just to be clear, I don't really have to sell the car, I just think that my Marauder might give someone else more enjoyment other than me just putting a million miles on it. Plus Marauders don't pass many gas stations when you live 25 miles from Nowhere.:D Thank you all for the replies.

On my way to pick up a SB in GA. A little late on the DTR. I will need your services soon, hopefully before the winter. :)

I'm not a big Jeep fan, but it looks sharp. I'm just looking for something like another SHO taurus, SVT Contour, or a GT foxbody mustang that is not all hacked up. (Plus Cash) Preferably the Contour because it would be the best on gas, but the GT has great parts availability and could be made into a decent mpg car.

OK, I looked at everything today when I went to the Credit Union and all really want is someone to pay it off. So if someone can come up with $8,800, it can be theirs as long as they get it before the end of July. I have already been tossed around by three people saying "I'll come tomorrow to pick it up." and they never contact me again even after I cont the title transfered to Wilmington. So please don't dont just mess with me. Hey, I might be able to work out an even better deal if you are serious.

Thanks all

Just waiting on pickup now. Thanks for all the comments and help. Hope they enjoy it as much as I have over the past year. One day I may buy another Marauder but it just doesn't work with my current situation. Yet again, thank you all and I wish the very best to all of you.

I thought that a 2004 Toreador Red Maurander with under 100k miles would be worth more.
