Finally washed the MM and started damage assesment.
Got a quote from local ford for $2460.40 for body work (excluding glass)
Going to nearest SVT/Roush dealer on saturday, so im guessing thier estimate will be closer to $3k, and thats where Im gonna have the work done.

Pics show damage on bumper, grill, mirrors, roof, a-pillars, header panel, fog light, lic plate cover, side marker, and windshiled.

nope, but it was nice enough to win a 1st place car show trophy 3 yrs ago.

it had swirl marks, but I was gonna buff it this year, definatly no rock chips!!

If i was you I would have them paint it Buick GNX Black and pay the difference to have the entire car done.

Any you may know, got some damage coming up behind a gravel truck that was spewing rocks out the back.

Finally got the estimate from the local SVT/Rousch dealer.

Estimate of repairs..... $4295

then I will pay the extra $100 to have the rest that hasnt been painted, wet sanded and buffed to it matches nice and smoothly.

I had to google Killswitch Engage...never heard of 'em. D'oh, the truck probably heard you coming and tried to quell the racket that was behind him! I think that music? is outlawed in South Dakota where I grew up.

With all that damage did it all happen at one time? I assume you couldnt just slow down.

At least you'll get a new paint job either way---

Here in NC--trucks have signs posted on their rear ends .....says something like..."Not responsible from debris hit roadway" or something to that effect..maybe fastblackmerc or someone else from NC who knows for sure can chim in about it....

But basically, cause of that signage and to stay back 200 feet right after that, it gets them out of court problems and for paying for damages..........

Still bunch of crap to me.........

I have been behind a truck going down the interstate at 75 and the truck i front of you hits a bump and its all over but to call trucking company or insurance.Friend of mines father had a 35 pound valve fall off a fire truck in front of him...the damage to his car was unbelievable.

They already admitted it was thier fault. Several cars called and had the same thing happen, according to thier insurance guy

I just thought about this thread again today. I saw a dump truck up ahead and changed lanes a little sooner to not be behind it. About 4 or five blocks later, a concrete block about in foot square and like 5 or5 six inches thick fell out of the back, hit the road and bounced about 4 feet in the air befor coming to a stop in the roadway. Several cars behind me had to stop and change lanes to go around it. The dump truck continued on and showed no signs of knowing anything happened at all. If there had been a car behind that truck, well it's a good thing there wasn't.

Why are u going through the stealership to have it fixed?

Black_Noise

Cause they are a certified SVT and Rousch dealer... I figure they see enough rich, and picky people that they have to do good work on everything, or they get it back to redo, or lose business if they dont put out 100% all the time.
