First off, the lure of the 2011 GT has been too great. I love this car, just spent a ton of money getting it up and running again but its time for me to go back to my roots.
This is the 03 Marauder made famous by BillyGMan for the massive burnouts on the Trilogy Burnout Contest video. I bought the car from Zack with 59k miles and drove it like I stole it until October of last year when the factory engine called it quits.
I purchased an 03 Cobra shortblock and had the block decked, cleaned, bored .10 over, dropped in Wiseco forged pistons, Total Seal rings, fully balanced the rotating assembly to the gram, and assembled the engine with ARP main and head studs, and Cometic head gaskets.
The heads were ported an polished locally through the machine shop, the heads were then milled and reassembled with a full valve job. I chose to use the stock cams. A full timing set was purchased from Ford Racing with all new chains, guides, tensioners, and gears. A Melling Select oil pump was chosen and installed. The timing cover was powder coated as were the cam covers. Everything was assembled using new gaskets.
The Trilogy supercharger was ported and polished by Posi Performance and a 2.8" pulley was installed. The lower intake was ported slightly and polished smooth. 60lb injectors were installed with the factory Marauder rails. An 8 rib Gates HD belt drives the S/C with a new bearing on the tensioner pulley. A K&N CAI leads upto the ported and polished throttle body and through a SCT BA3000 MAF. The EGR was deleted using the Ford EGR kit.
The alternator, serpentine belt, battery, and tensioner are all new. New bearings were installed in all the idler pulleys.
The car came with Kooks long tube headers which I had blasted and ceramic coated inside and out. The outside was polished and fasted to the heads with Stage 8 locking header bolts and new Ford gaskets. The X pipe is in sad shape but has new O2 sensors and new collector gaskets. It leads back to the Magnaflow mufflers and deleted tips.
The trans was rebuilt with all new clutches, bands, solinoids, shift kit, TCI deep pan, and the PI convertor was rebuilt and stalled to 3500 RPM. The driveshaft is an aluminum Dynotech unit. The rear end was rebuilt with all new bearings, wheel bearings, axle seals, FMS 4.10 gears, FMS Billet Rear End cover, and Royal Purple synthetic fluid. The axles were replaced and the trac lok rebuilt at this time.
I had upper and lower control arms fabricated for the rear end, Addco sway bars front and rear, new Adaptive one pads and new rotors up front. The pads on the rear are new Adaptive ones with newly turned rotors. Stainless steel flex lines are installed front and rear.
The fuel system features Twin Ford GT pumps with the valve deleted, Zack fuel filter mod using a larger fuel filter. No lack of fuel here.
I installed a Pioneer AVIC-X910BT with a PAC module to retain the wheel controls. I also have a XM module and ipod adapter installed. The DVD bypass has been performed so videos can be watched while in motion. This was one of the top of the line units last year and still amazes me with its cool factor. The ETAC was rebuilt with new o-rings last summer.
There are new Nitto 555's all the way around. 255/45/18 up front, 285/40/18's on widened wheels outback. These tires have around 1500-2000 miles on them and have the nationwide hazard warranty through Big-O tires.
There are a few bad areas I need to disclose. The car was involved in a one car accident while owned by Billy. He stated to me he lost it one day and the car went up on a guard rail at his work. There is a dent in the front fender that has been touched up, and some dents on the trunk pan and lower quarter panel behind the bumper. The rear bumper has some spidering in the paint from a wonderful person who backed into the car while I was at the hospital with my wife. There are a few dings here and there, and a nice undercoating of rubber in the rear wheel wells. The car needs an alignment, which I might take care of before a buyer comes forward. I am not happy with the exhaust by any means. The X pipe is rough but does not leak and the cats were deleted last summer due to deteriation and clogging. I planned to have the exhaust remade from the headers back.
I will post recent pics this weekend. The car is rarely driven anymore because I have a beater and I don't feel comfortable driving this to work. I work at a body shop, and the only open spots are under a tree and in direct path from our detail bay. The car will come with several extra, stock, and misc parts. I also have a SCT Xcal3 that will go with the car along with all the recipts.
The engine alone cost nearly $10k to rebuild and is ready for anything you can throw at it. No expense was spared, no corners cut. I researched every move I made and fully expected to keep the car for the long haul. I do have a lein on the vehicle, so there will be a delay while the lein is released when it is sold. The car has 93000 miles on it, but as you can see the drivetrain is all new.
I am asking $16k. I do not have to sell the car, so for now the price is firm and well worth it considering the mods and engine work.
