....smiled about it.

I was at a red light and when the intersection clears it goes from 3 lanes on 2. I was in the middle lane (the actual right lane) and I see a Cadillac pull up to my right. It wasn't a CTS-V, but whatever bigger one there is. I could tell by the grille.

Light turns green and I gave it a normal start and he must have given his car half throttle. I respond my giving mine more, keeping him there so he must slow down to avoid hitting the curve. Soon as I gave it more he did too, so WOT here we go. I start to creep away from him and when my car shifted from first to second the tires squeeked and lucky for him it was right by his drivers window that was open.

He then realizes he cannot make the pass, slows down and get's behind me. This is a huge intersection about 100 feet from street to street so by the time I let off I am doing around 60mph or so. When I see him get behind me the driver is actually smiling and laughing. So is his passenger. Just before I made my turn on the next street I see the driver stick his hand out the window and I thought he was going to flip me off... nope. He actually gave me the thumbs up. He was right on me the whole time and probably found my license plate frame funny too.

This is the first GM driver that actually was a good spirit about losing the speed contest, but I never thought it would be because he couldn't cut me off.

This may sound lame because it was in intersection, but just the driver laughing and giving me the thumbs up just had to be mentioned.

Drive fast take chances. :burnout:

Nothing impressive about the $80,000 price tag though considering we only have to shell out $5000 or so at the most to beat the **** out of it.

More like $10,000 just to beat them in the 1/4, nothing else, and you would still never have all the nice amenities of that car. I like the CTS-V looks wise a little better, but way too small. I sat in one at the car show and hated the feel of the hard seats though.

Really takes 10k to hit low 13's?

I got spanked by a '10 CTS V on the turnpike. Stayed with him til about 105 then he just started pulling away.
Impressive car, 12.1-12.4 in the 1320

I'm talking about a new roots S/C in a box, installed, and tuned. You could go centri but then you are back to gears, T/C, installed and tuned. I don't consider nitrous an everyday power adder. A stock Trilogy with street tires only averages 13.1 to 13.3. Pretending that there was a 1/2 mile track, that STS would walk you down. Never mind me, I hate most all newer GM's but I know a good car when I see it.
