Hey all,
Im trying to understand exhaust and what i need for Kooks headers to work on my current setup. I want to buy some Kooks LT headers only, but a little confused on what i need for this to work. I currently have manifolds hooked up to Cobra exhaust and i want to keep my cobra exhaust for now and add Kook's LT's(I don't have the money for a new complete exhaust system). Any and All help is wanted. I can answer questions to the best of my knowledge.
Thanks

Didn't know a "Cobra exhaust" would fit a Marauder, but you'd have to mod your mid-pipe to hook up to the ball and socket type ends on the Kooks. Not much of a big deal really.
here's some kooks!

Those are the ones I'm purchasing. MuscleMerc told me i needed a mid-pipe but then my friend who's helping me with the install asked me, "What about the O2 sensors and where will they go." Sooo, Just making youre i can get everything that is needed and wont have to go to a custom shop for a little job. Will the Kooks need welding to the mid pipe?
You will need to make a pipe from the Kooks flange to the X-Pipe.
You only need the o2 sensors in the headers, since the rears are shut off in the tune.
Any exhaust shop (or home DIY'er) can make the modifications with ease.

^^ Correct as I have also told you if you get the Kooks go to a muffler shop and have them make a mid section for you, the O2 bungs are already there in the header. When you get the pipe made you have a choice on adding high flow cats, rear O2's, flanges for cut outs, or whatever makes you happy. BTW Bawazir just posted a find on Kook's at a better price

It would be best to adjust the transport delay in the tune to prevent any drivability problems, but the computer should be able to learn it eventually IF adaptive is NOT turned off or reduced too low.
