Yes I've searched it...came up with nothing.
What is the stock size of our pipes?
2.25" or 2.5"?

At the stock header it's 2-1/2," then after the last cat it's 2", all the bends to get back to the muffler location are 1-7/8", the H is 1-3/4", from the muffler outlet back it's 2-1/4".

Looks like gains are going to be made just by swapping mid pipes since its so restrictive.

The reason I'm bringing this up is because our cars are V8's - upgrade size is 2.5"; 87-91 Mustangs (V8) go from stock 2.25" with an aftermarket size of 2.5".
While searching for an aftermarket kit for my 07 Dodge Magnum V6 (3.5L), all the aftermarket systems go 2.5".
This all seems too big for a V6.
I DON'T GET IT!

Please don't hijack my thread. :bows:
I am really confused with what I posted above with the different cars.

2.5" is overkill for a 3.7L V6.
Don't ask me why they make the Dodge V6 kits with 2.5" pipes...:dunno:

Even upgrade the kits for the 5.7L V8s are 2.5".
I'm really up in the air on this one.

He also runs massive amounts of boost. I'd say 2.5" is plenty for the size of this N/A motor.
What makes me laugh is the 3" exhausts that Honda guys run on their mid-to-low-range Honda motors, THAT is overkill.

If anyone was driving a V6 Mustang (not the 2011), would you upgrade to 2.5" systems; or stay with 2.25"?

Thank you Sir, If I were you try to find something with 2-1/4" pipe then it won't sound so bad, the worst sounding exhaust it any V6 with an open exhaust.
