Anybody have the part number for the K&N filter for my 2004 MM?? Is it the same as my 2000 CV??
It fits but the rubber lip is different as is the air box bottom??:(
BTW...The factory filter is really well made with lots of surface area!! Wonder if the K&N will make any difference??
MOD #1...I guess??:D

Take the airbox assembly out of the car while installing the filter just to make sure you close and seal the airbox correctly with the new K&N. This way you can see the seal from all 4 sides.

As stated in many previous discussions, no power gains with the K&N panel type replacement filter. I did a dyno test to prove it. All it does is get you longer service intervals and no replacement filter costs. Also there is some risk to the MAF sensor if it is improperly maintained.

Thanks for all the replys!!:)
I suspect that the K&N would only help a little at WOT race conditions?? It looks like the CFM limiter in the MM is the "snout" on the airbox??
I'm gonna stick with the paper Ford filter for now!! ;)
BTW does anyone have flow numbers on flat panel filters?? All the comparisons have been for 3" & 4" round ones?? :help:
Thanks Again!
