View Full Version : What new parts do you guys need next?!

At Carlisle I was asked what other Marauder parts I could/would put out next. Paul, Paul and I were discussing front stabilizer links, it appears that many of you suffer from clicking noise from them and either the OEM ones are too expensive and the aftermarket are not durable. Blurauder suggested front control arms with upgraded bushings and replaceable ball joints. Any thoughts? Any other ideas??

I like BlueRauder's idea about the front control arms.

How about a 8.8 diff cover that says "Marauder". Don't forget the bracing kit /stud bolts w/ the magnetic dip stick. I'd have it done in polished aluminum.

How about alternators/starters/power steering pumps etc that were powder-coated to the choosers liking.

Front suspension CA's would be cool and be available in powder coated finishes.

A tubular front 'K' crossmember like the Mustang guys have...to open up some room under and around the DOHC engine.
Then Marauder owners could do a nice turbo kit with a real exhaust set-up!
I like the look of the OEM aluminum crossmember...but it is massive.

Nice tubular front upper and lower control arms with replaceable bushings/ball joints. Bumpsteer correction extended balljoints and tie rod ends.
Shocks - oem or decent aftermarket other than QA-1.

+1 on the front control arms, tubular k member (would be nice for added room to work and weight reduction), and another aftermarket shock offering.

Looks like tubular k-member and front upper and lower control arms seem to be the popular choice. Being it's going to be impossible for him to get his hands on a Marauder does anybody know 100% for sure if he can use a 2003 or newer Vic? He has access to P.I. cars

Cuz that's the point of having a tubular K is to get the weight off the nose :P Guys who want turbos would like the space sure, but that's a different deal :D

Would a tubular k have an effect on the handling?

Yes.
1) Weight difference
2) Stiffness difference

'03 and up CV/GM/TC should all be the same crossmember/controlarms.

How about urethane or solid steering rack mount bushings?!

Clicking sound is your rear parking brake pads. I hear lots of fords and mercs with that annoying clicking sound
