need help with a tune

i bought a mm in january i have no idea what tune is in this. how would i find out whats in this its, definetly got something the tranny shifts great and the torque convertor doesnt come on till bout 60mph.i also need to know what gears are in this beast, so i thought if i bought a new tuner it might show me what gears are in this or what was programmed in any help would be nice thanks. the car has kooks headers,k&n cai,x pipe 2 high flow cats.also instead of the normal premium fuel sticker on the fuel door it has one that says use regular fuel? has me thinking now :confused:

See if you can contact the salesman and ask if an XCal was found in the car. Also who the previous owner was.

only use premium.
use a gps and tell us at what rpm are you running 60mph, and make sure you speedometer is correct. that should give us the answer for the gears you running.

will check tomorrow on the spped and rpm as for the salesman he told me it didnt have anything with it and i tried finding the last 2owners with no luck i know at 80 mph the rpm is close to 3000

OK, if you want to find out for sure the gear ratio Jack the rear tires off the ground, take a piece of tape and put it @ 12:00 on the tire, go under the car and pit a piece of tape on the drive shaft @ 6:00, have a some one watch the tire with the tape and you rotate the drive shaft, count the number of times the drive shaft hit's 6:00 to make the wheel get back to 12:00. (example 3-1/2 turns on the drive shaft to make a full tire rotation = 3:55 gears.) It's not hard at all.

80 = 3000 = 4.10
80 = 2500 = 3.73


Not sure what rpm 80 is factory stock. So for sure you have 4.10's - assuming your tires aren't totally different.

it has factory wheels and tires i went out yesterday and drove with gps at 60mph and the tach is rock solid at 2100 i will jack it up to make sure thanks for the tips on my gear ratio. so i need to get another tuner and back up the one in the car to find out what it is?

i guess i did its got marauder emblems on the fenders,ss marauder door sills, grill emblem,trunk emblems and a custom engine compartment emblem plus all the goodies for the performance and a marauder trunk liner on trunk lid now all i need is a supercharger and the list goes on lol i think this car is gonna put me in divorce court even though its the wifes car
