It is words nobody wants to have to say but I have been jobless for three weeks. I set a threshold for the end of the month. At that point it's either pack up and leave my house or sell the Marauder. While I was at the Eustis picnic, my job of 2 years was given away to a guy who ass-kissed his way into the position by crying "poor me" and exploiting the fact that his irresponsible lifestyle has spawned two children he cannot afford to take care of. So now I am out of work and may have to sell. The car will go as-is with everything that you have seen on it. The retail on the stereo system exceeds $14,000 and I will not return the car back to stock. It would be too labor intensive. This is only a bad dream for now and will not come to fruition if I gain employment within the next two weeks.

Hope things improve for you quickly!
I just have to ask, what do you got in that thing to have a $14,000 stereo system?

It is all JL-Audio (300/4, 500/1, Three 10w1's, VR components) and Eclipse everything else (DVD/Nav back-up camera, iPod integration, steering wheel controls, CD changer, auxiliary inputs) and a complete custom trunk with a God Head logo in the floor all accented with a Varad LED kit.

I'm sorry to see things may go the wrong way for you, but I'd like to pass on a phrase that was told to me, "Don't give up hope, & never give up the fight" I know your MM is more to you than just a means of transportation as like mine was to me. Do what you must and keep what you can, but relize we are all family here and you're not alone in this crazyland called America.

that's the retail - with lots of labor. All the stuff was bought brand-new in boxes and was all gotten at cost. I was in the business for 9 years so all the tricks were put into it.

Lets not get out of hand - It ain't for sale yet. I have haunted every employer resource I can and submitted lots of resumes... Anyone that sees it knows she is loved. I don't even want to advance a potential selling price.

Hang in there man, I would hate to see you lose that beautiful ride.
You have to see that trunk in person to really get how nice it is.
You could probably get a few bucks for the SB diecast with the sunroof!

Kenny, this saddens me. I know how much you love the car and the lifestyle. You'll find a way, I'm sure.

I'd lose the house.
Shame on the dude for making his problems yours.
Did his dork slip into a woman and go off twice? BIG MISTAKE, POOR HIM! There are alternatives to that though.
I would be POed as I am sure you are.
Sorry man.

Man, that sucks. The timing sucks. Now is a bad time to try to look for a job or sell a car. Most people are just sticking with whatever they've already got. Just don't panic and do anything rash. Heck, flip burgers if you have to. What kind of work do you do?

Kenny, hang in there, my friend. You have way to much talent and work ethic not to catch something soon. In the meantime keep up the push. You know you have to work as hard to find work as you do on the job. Don't let the bastages discourage you. Keep pounding and looking for side jobs that can carry you through. All the best, always. If there is any way that Penny and I can help please let me know. Dennis

Thanks everybody - I was exceeding my spending limits for awhile and have no contingency plan now that the income stopped suddenly. I have dropped about 40 resumes and had two interviews today. I have managed to let go of some valuable stuff that will help me for a week or two.

Wow... That is great! I was sending out resumes and didn't get a single interview until 5 months later! They hired me on the spot though.
Sounds like you will find something soon! Good luck! Being out of work definitely sucks!

As I mentioned in another thread, I'm going to be in the same boat soon.
If you flip burgers, I think they reduce your Unemployment Insurance checks though. And last time I heard, they aren't eager to hire 34 year old men to flip burgers when the kids are lining around the block these days.
