OK everyone just dropped my car off at SW for the full kit headers and everything else back. Talked with the guys at the shop about the clearance issues with the steering shaft. They have just re design the header adding about a 1/2" of clearance to the shaft. I will take pics when the install is done so yall can see what it looks like. Man can't wait to get my baby back then head to alt auto for a dyno tune.:banana2:

Well atleast you got a fix for the problem, maybe the others should get together and petition SW and Kooks to pay for a new steering shaft or a new DS header.

Did they mention when it was redesigned?

They said they did it about a month ago. My car is supposed to be the second install of the new design. I can understand everyone's issues who already have these headers and encountered rubbing issues. But ya got to not just blame them (SW) ya got to remember that these are production cars not hand built that is why some had issues and some didn't. when these cars where made do you seriously think that every single engine/steering column was installed exactly the same? I can see how the issue of rubbing can come about lets say that your engine was installed far to the Left side or drivers side then the steering column installer person installs that far to the right or pass side yes I could see an issue. Overall as many have said before it is an aftermarket part NOT FACTORY!
IF you can't handle using aftermarket stuff then please don't, and if you do use it then don't ***** when it don't fit exactly as what your replacing on the car!

Really massacre!!! I wont even respond. Nothing personal just going off what 20 years of auto work has shown me.

How long do you have to leave your car with the SW people? Post pics if you can and a sound clip would be cool too.:)

They say it takes just a day to get the headers in!!! then the rest is on day 2 so about 2 days unless they decide to do some tweeking etc?

I think I pooped my pants a bit when I picked it up! Damn car is totally different then before guess that little stock exhaust was really restrictive. Got 3 inch now and I just can't believe the difference helped wake the trilogy up thats for sure only one issue that I had was that the metco driveshaft loop ( which is for sale now ) will not fit with the new pipes but no big deal as the new pipes crossover will do the exact thing from what I can see. I have all the stock stuff for sale if anyone wants it or just pieces The cats are good only 71000 on car.

Not yet gonna have alt auto do their marauder magic on thursday. No issues yet with any check engine lights over 300 miles on the car so far since install. wonder if the trilogy chip has the rear o2s turned off? hers some pics as well. be advised some may look funny with the clamps and what not but the car was still being worked on it tucks up nice and tight under the car when done. Also want to say thanks to matt from SW he called me today with a follow up report on what I think and if I had any issues.
