Contact Megs directly, they said in a tread on MCM that they were re-producing the OEM tips. They were around $150 IIRC.

It's not Meg's but it's pretty close, comes with the rolled edge, a little shorter though so a small piece of pipe would be needed to add.

Take your stock tips, remove the resonator and clean/polish them up for a spare set or sell. Always check the For Sale area also.

Also, The tips on my Marquis were 4" tips w/o resonators and rolled lip. I got them from Wes at Innovative Interceptors.

Yeah. But that's the closest I've seen that's comparable. I checked in with Meg and they don't plan on another run anytime soon without demand.

Does anyone know the official part number for the non-resonated tip/s from Megs?

I got a set of similar tips from my local muffler shop without resonators but they were only 24". As someone said above, stockers are 26".

Here are some pictures of what we have stock if anyone is curious just the chrome part is the tip. Sorry thats they way they were cut off. Mine are a bit dirty but now that they are off the car nothing but some good metal polish to clean them up.

MM's are getting old and the chrome on many tips are beginning to pit and rust. Good opportunity for a company like Megs to look into running off a few dozen pairs. We'd be in for a set of 3 1/2 or 4 inch tips.

Stock tips are Polished Stainless steel, not chrome...

Ask and you shall receive....

I sent a massage to Rich at Cone Engineering, (Megg's) regarding a run of MM tips, I recieved this reply from him today.

Re: Tips
Hi, thanks for the heads up. I thnk someone asked a question and repeated it with a modified answer. We run Marauder tips depending on demand for them since they are such a specialized application. We have sold out the last production run and are getting ready to run a new batch. Depending n how pre-orders go, we plan to run them in Mid-August. If orders are strong we may run them sooner. If orders are weak they may get pushed back a little. I should have a new post up on this site soon. I tried to post one last week but something didn't wok and t didn't load.

When I get it going, I woul appreciate if you could pass the word, maybe link across the new post to the other forum as it is not encouraged when I do it as a business even if I am trying to pass along helpful info.

Rich

Shortly after, he posted this notice on MCM.... located here, http://www.motorcitymarauders.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11514

New production run of Marauder tips 8/2010
Attention Marauder Shoppers!

We’re getting ready to run another batch of Marauder resonator delete exhaust tips! The scheduled production date will be towards the end of August. If pre-orders are heavy, the date could be moved up.

These are the original "resonator delete" tips. The tips are the same as original equipment except the resonators are not there so you get a more aggressive tone. I think you’ll find that everyone that ordered from the last batch was very pleased.

Inlet is 2.25" and the main tube diameter is 3.50". They are a 26" overall length with an angle cut outlet. They are 100% 18 gauge 304 stainless steel that is bright polished. And of course you can see the original Megs logo! On this new run, you can also order them with 2.50” diameter inlets for cars with larger aftermarket exhausts.

Price will be the same as the last ones, regardless of inlet diameter. For a pair of brand-new tips, carefully packed and shipped directly to you, the normal retail price is $200. If you place your orders before July 15th, you will receive FREE SHIPPING! (US members only, however a shipping discount will be offered to non-US members). Expected shipping date is the end of September 2010.

Production is limited and even though we do run some extras they were all gone within a month of the last production run. To place an order, part number for these tips is "ST627", either call (800) 795-5535 or 714-828-3580 (outside US), or email sales@coneeng.com. If emailing, please provide a contact number we can reach you at. When placing an order, a credit card is required. Your card won’t be charged until the actual production date of the tips.

For some reason I was not able to upload any pictures. If you check an earlier post there are pictures there.

Guy's this is the perfect opportunity to get your hands on the correct OEM tips for your Marauder, with just a bit more noise!!!
