Just short of a 1 year run on these the tires have worn like ****. About 10k on them.
They are 255/55/18.
The insides have worn down so fast that when the tire was off getting a flat repair it looked like a "u". I'm not really sure as to why as I kept them at 35psi religiously.
I did do a few open track events with them and one night at the drag strip but not really any significant burnouts other than the occasional chirp off the line. Granted I do drive more aggressively than most but the OEM BFG's lasted twice as long!
They made the back feel truck like vs the BFG's. Sloppy wobble ass...
They are down to the wear bars but yet the outsides look hardly worn.
It just pisses me off Ford had to be such idiots and not put a decent wheel on these cars like a 18x9. That extra inch would save alot of people tire selection heart ache and horrible tire wear unless we run a f'n pizza cutter on them.
When I get the coin I am getting decent wheels. I will miss the Marauder wheel as it looks awesome but doesn't fit anything other than a 235 worth ****.

10k sucks for a tire with a treadwear rating of 420.
My Hankooks are still going strong at 12K.

295/45r18 hankooks look awesome. Verry quiet. Handle extremely well and wear like iron. Give them a try you wont be disappointed

Problem is. If you have a tire thats wider than the wheel. YOU WILL have abnormal tire wear. Its just a fact. The tire will psychically budge towards the middle when its mounted on the wheel. Take the tire off. It U's.
When I had 285/50/18's on my other MM they did handle okay...but I can't stand the "wobble ass" associated with higher profile tires.
If we would of been given a 9" wheel. Inner wear wouldn't be an issue. even with the BFG's.

15000k on them so far, tire wear is even. so far they have 30000k on them, still 75% left.

Thought about just widening the MM wheels? Or are you looking for larger diameter, too?

Welcome to the minority. I liked the BFG's a lot better than the Nittos. May try that pricey Goodyear next.

I had the 420's on my black Marauder, and hated them the first time I went around a corner........ Sidewall flexed to hell on me. I was running mid to high 30's psi too( remember telling the tech where I got them to over inflate by 5+psi)
They were priced well, but if you do any type of aggressive driving they are not what you want imho.....:burnout:
Never got the chance to burn em up, as my accident occurred just after they were installed.

I've had mine for about a year now. Never had any problems or anything. The only thing I did notice was a slightly rougher ride but that may be due in part to my rear shocks need replacing.

mine lasted about 17k, they were totally bald in the center when i took them off, i liked them but horrible wear.

Mine have 25,000 miles and almost three years on them. I'll probably be changing them soon, but I have no complaints about the tread life.

I like the stock bfg g-forces but wish the rear's were 275-55! I've been thinking about the bfg kdw2 sports new tread design but not sure any inputs?

Anything under 35 PSI and the damn things were very sloppy.
Also DAMN Ford for the stupid offset tire size with the ABS and TC.
How in the HELL did you guys get 20k+ out of them!?!?!? Are you sure you're driving a 300hp car? is there a brick stuck under the gas pedal? what PSI?

I kept mine at 40-43psi and got minor uneven tread-ware waring down the middle, so I guess I over did it a little. You have to look very closely to notice though. My guess would be somewhere between 35-40psi is perfect for plus sized tires.

I was able to get 21K, 18K and 21K out of my first three (3) sets of BFG 245/55/18s. Tried to keep the rears at 38 psi. I would rate my driving as "spirited". Definitely no brick under the accelerator.
Currently running the GoodYear Eagle F1 255/55/18s on the rear but will be lucky to get 15K out of them. While I like the tread pattern on the GoodYears, I am considering going with something else (maybe Nittos) or try to return to the OEMs.
