I installed the new rear speaker deck tonight due to the cat precisley clawing the exact area where the speaker grill goes. lucky break on that. the cat yet to be found guilty of pulling at the deck carpet and when i went to install deck i had intentally ordered as a 300a style pkg so could get the rear speaker grills that the 300b does not have well much to my surprise they are very diffrent not just the grills i may have figued out another diffrence from the 300a pkg and the 300b.. the 300b has center passanger shoulder harnes that i do not think the 300a has? anyway i was bummed out that it would not work:( but then i carefully cut out the openings for the grills and took them from the new deck and put them on the one i had looks factory perfect! i pulled all this off because i have a contact at local dealer and he just gave me the part to install my self and just said bring me the old one back believe it or not! well all is mostley well still some sub vibration even after i removed the grey foam as recomened here on MM.NET but it is better. any more ideas on that fix? Hey i may have the only 300b with rear speaker grills WOW who really cares!!! me i think that Sh$t is neat!:pimp: :burnout: :burnout:

Hey SILVERMARAUDER! In addition TO the gray foam on top of subwoofer, my 04 sub was also covered over by the heavy rubber pad(mat) the runs under the entire carpeted package shelf. There is a pre perferated hole in that mat that has a knockout for subwoofer equipped MM's that is left in place for the non sub equipped GM's. My entire package tray rattled and sounded like sub was blown until tis knockout was removed nad now it is just fine. Hope this helps! Mike(akaRedMM)

The 300a does have center shoulder belts in the rear. Maybe the factory just cuts out for them?
