How difficult of a job is it to change the front and rear shocks on a marauder? I have 70k miles on it and I figure its time to replace them. It does look like the front shocks will need a spring compressor to remove the spring from the shock. Other than that is it a difficult job?

Sounds like you've already figured it out. Your OE shocks might still be OK though.. unless you have fluid leaking out, or you have weird noises coming from the shocks, I would guess that they still have at least 75% of their original damping. Tokico monotubes are pretty damn durable.

I have 162k on mine and am changing all around. The one changed @ 28k is still good (80% of value). other was shot. was noticing the sloppy rear action when in hard turns. The front started galloping. Front need a coil spring compressor and the rear are straight forward replacement. The ride is feeling new again since replacement.

I just figured I would replace them due to the fact that they have 70k on them and they are over 7 years old. As far as I know they are not leaking, maybe I should just inspect them.
