my passanger side has a crack on the welding, i had the drivers side repaired once by a local shop that did a better job than kooks.
havent had a problem for 15k mles, but now is the passanger.:mad2:
i konw one person besides me that had that problem.
anyone else?
i also noticed my primarys look white inside, i know my car is tuned a little bit on the rich side.
what can cause the white on the primarys?
not too happy with kooks craftmanship.

White in the primaries means its lean.

thats what i thougth, but my car smells like pure gas when im getting on it.
i also put 110 octane on the car every time i get a chance, at least twice a month.
can that make it white as well?

Ummm wow. yup, i like the smell, and it gives me a piece of mind just in case i feel like putting the race tune on a random day.
BTW i only put about 5 gallons at a time.

If you use race gas regularly it will kill the o2 sensors.

White exhaust is lean, lean means hot, hot will damage header coatings and cause metal fatigue.

Why put a race tune in it for street use?

i put the race tune when me and the boys get together on sundays, i have only been doing it for the past couple of months.
my buddys dad has a 1/2 mile paved driveway to thier house, which they also use for their small plane.

That sucks Landy, been there just like you. Get them welded up good and back on.

Sounds like your running lean to me also. Wonder if it's carry over from before your tune or if you still have a fuel issue.

Are the other tubes or other side white also? Just wondering if it was only the primary tube that was leaking or both complete banks.

well, i checked the collector with a flashlight on the other bank and yes its white too, i can see the white in every single primary.

well i installed the kooks, with the Mr Gasket collector bolts and nuts ( the bolts are a little short). no leaks so far
dattaloged the car and notced the frp was down to 33psi at higher rpms, then added the 10 gauge wire and a relay and now the frp wont lower 41psi.
i pulled out a spark plug and it looked black.
should i get another dyno tune?

If you cracked both headers I would think your EGT is way too high, I would go see Dennis again.
Don't wait like I did....
