Actually the automatic dryer was the culprit. I was always a little leery of those little rollers running up and over my car. Now with good reason!!

Called the dealer and he said that the low profile blades were an inferior design so they scrapped not only the blade but the arm as well.

There are many aftermarket low profile wiper blades on the martket. I've run them for years without issue.

I'm looking for the arm.
I must admit I was never a fan of the oem blades myself.
Up until last year this car never seen the rain. I changed out the blades not out of necessity but because they were looking a little brittle.

Goto a local salvage yard they should be the same as a Vic or GM.

GodOSpeed,
Pray tell us why you ran your car thru the car wash in the first place? Inquiring minds .... Not trying to rag on you, but really, if you really cherish your car NEVER take it to an automatic car wash. On the other hand, if it is just a car to you, proceed... Rant off.

Ive come to terms that this car has a sincerely crappy factory paint job. So I don't worry about every miniscule scratch anymore. I sleep better @ night this way. Will repaint in the near future.

I've been afraid to run mine through automatic car wash. I already have a zillion rock chips and swirl marks. If I can scratch the paint with a wet finger, then it's not going through an automated car wash. Mines black though and shows EVERYTHING.

I go thru a car wash almost once a week. (hurts my back too much to wash it myself) My car looks great.

I won't go thru the wash for a while after I get it repainted. Once the novelty wears off, I will run it through again.
