Has anyone used one of these? I checked my paint all the way around the car and it came in at 10-11 mils.I was wondering if that was normal. I sell BMW's and theirs comes in at 4-5 mils. The higher the number, the thicker the paint. Is our paint that much thicker than a BMW's?

Mine is starting to chip (300A paint) and it seems pretty thick!

11 mills is not the norm on any car. You somehow got a really, really good paint job from the factory.

I thought maybe it was repainted. I would like to check another Marauder to see if its different. I bought the car with 9k miles on it 2years ago. The original owner claims it was never painted...

He may not have. If the transport company damaged the paint en route they may have repainted before it was ever delivered to the customer. I sell Cadillac's and I have seen that happen once or twice. Granted, they didn't paint the entire car though.

As a side note I know that the Cadillac's and Buicks with the Chromaflair and Diamond Tricoat finishes are at least that thick from the factory.
