I purchased a HID hi/low beam conversion kit and it is the one where the high beam is a separate halogen light, i was wondering which direction i should have the high beam light facing in the headlamp so that it reflects the light up for high beam. Can anyone help me out here?

I think the 9007 socket goes in one way.

so you cheaped out.. lol, what brand did you buy? check out retro solutions.com they have 55watt Hi/Lo kits where the Bulb Physically moves in and out for high and low. for 160 bucks, lifetime warenty on all parts. been running mine for about a year now no probs and they get ALOT of use.

IMHO... the way to go is to get HID's for Hi & Lo beams w/ 4 ballasts.

yeaup.. i went the cheap rout like always.. never learn. i had the ones with the solenoid that makes the high beams come on but the bulbs were bad and connections were corroded after three years. So i went on ebay and bought the cheapest hi/low beam kit i could fin and ended up with the low hids and high halogens. Oh well, they were only 40 bucks shipped. I figured out that if you put the halogen lights facing the bottom of the lamps that it reflects the halogen lights up when you turn your high beams on. But i seem to have a bigger problem, Both lights work when i unlock the car, then when i start the car only one will work and when i turn the highs on and then off the opposite hid will work. then after turning the lights on and off a few times both will eventually work. This is the problem i was having before i bought the new kit. So im thing my LCM is going.

You have a wiring issue. Most likely with the HIDs.

When the relay in the LCM goes bad usually both headlights won't come on.

www.ddmtuning.com 35watt (55watts is overkill in a halogen lens) 9007 bulb hi/low Slim ballast kit $60-70 plus shipping with lifetime warranty.

That's a true Bi-Xenon retro-fit kit. It's not always needed, I've been running a single ballast system for a while now and works just fine.

Dozen or more members here are using the DDMtuning kit.

For the price and quality, it can't be beat.

I'd have to replace one of my fog lights (would replace both) if I were to do HIDs in them. Took them out the other day to clean them real well and the passenger one (side the burns out the most) noticed the socket that holds the bulb is pretty burnt up and so is the housing.

I dont think its this kit because the kit that was in it before was doing the exact same thing. and I changes out everything, the wires, ballasts, and bulbs..

The highbeam on the retro solution system is beautiful, the beam pattern on the road is very even and shines FAR 120mph at night, no prob, cant over drive my lights.
