What are these parts called?

You know the trim pieces at the top of all 4 doors that are chrome and have the rubber sweep attached to them? Does anyone have a part number or know what they are called? Mine are bubbling up under the rubber. I would imagine it's rust or something? Anyone else have this problem?

Are you talking about the sweep at the bottom of the glass? if so, I have always known these parts as the outer belt molding

You can only get new ones at the dealer so they should be able to look them up.

I replaced those on my Merc just over a year ago and they were in the $30 range each.... they are only held in place by one 10mm acorn nut and then pop right out.

The remaining part of the molding/surround is what costs $80-90 each, but I've never seen those bubble at all, just the belt moldings.

Thanks for the info. Good grief! For that money I'll get the front bumper re-painted instead!
