How much trailer weight will a marauder tow...

My marauder is my daily driver, and i want to invest in a cheap, small travel trailer to do a little camping and stuff.... i am looking at something under 20 foot......

it says it can tow 1,500 LBS? but is that total trailer weight? or what?


let me know what my limitations are....

well I weigh about 1500lbs, if you want to tie me to the bumper to test it out, let me know

i looked in the manual... says 2,000 LBS..... so, trying to find one now..... and clearing away from the fraud.

My boat and trailer weigh about 1500 and I barely feel it when I tow. The big deal is the brakes.... can you stop what's behind you!

I would say 3500 with trailer brakes and no O/D you'll be fine.

CV's used to be rated at 5K# but Ford replaced A LOT of transmissions and dropped to 2K# towing capacity!!:cool:

I have towed my Cobra in my enclosed trailer and it was pretty evident it was back there at a total weight of about 6K#.......flat country and I didn't go far!!:shake:

3,500# would probably be OK with the O/D OFF as mentioned before!!:beer:
