i'm in need of new rotors, and pads. I can get a real good deal from Ford, 60 bucks per rotor and 70 bucks for the front pads. just wondering what people here think of the factory quality?

I have 89,000 miles on my stock front and back rotors and back pads. I changed the front pads only at 86,000. Rotors haven't been turned. I'd say stockers have worked pretty damn good.

The stock brakes are what I run on the wife's car. Get Factory Replacement pads, not Motorcraft.

I thought Motorcraft were stock replacement.. I ask the parts guy for pads for my car, they gave me 70 buck price?

Motorcraft is over-the-counter replacement, not as good as OEM. They won't last nearly as long as the OEM ones.

I changed my front oem pads at apx 98000 miles I did go with Hawk hps pads but you can't go wrong with the oem pads.

OEM might last a bit longer, but if you want performance, go aftermarket. My stock brakes sucked ass. People said....and I thought, get new performance calipers! Not the problem! Just get aftermarket pads and rotors! I never thought my brakes could be so great! But they kick ass now! This car stops better, with 110k miles, than any car I have ever owned.
