I looked up the $$$$ for The BF-Goodrich rears for our beloved Marauder!
Price at Tire Rack $188.00 EACH!
I know the 2010 Camaro has the same size 245-55/18 for the back tires BF Goodrich Radial T/A All Season @$76.00 each!
Quite a difference in $$$$$$$$$$$$$
Has anyone put these tires on their Marauder? If so how are they working out?
Any other brands for the back that are good and not so expensive as the G-Force T/A KDWS!??!?!

The Camaro 245-55/18 BFG Radial T/A is not the same tire. Not the same performance or speed rating. Not the same sidewall stiffness. Not the same handling characteristics. That's why they are cheaper. If the above doesn't matter to you, then go ahead and save the money.

Make sure any tire you get has a comparable load rating or keep it under 35mph.

As much fun as the BFG's were for doing burnouts once the center patch wore out (which was way too soon), I got tired of the rear end breaking loose on dry pavement at normal speeds when making a turn so I witched to Kumho Ecsta STX's for the back. 255/55-18's, 101 bucks each after shippings/taxes. That was last year. I also threw a set of Kumho Ecsta ASX (i think they are ASX's, i know they are not STX's like the back) on the front, stock 235/50-18 size. Love them, car corners fantastic. I don't have to turn down the radio when I make a u-turn so I can hear the rear end start sliding around like I did with the BFG's.

Anything 255/55/18 is fine.
Look on craigslist for them and you could have a set for $100 used, but in good shape.
Enjoy!

Let us know how that works out for you when you get a lower speed rated tire and it blows out on you......

Im running the camaro tires, i was unemployed when it came time to replace so $$$$ was the deciding factor, id have to say I love them so far, around 3k on them and no complaints, I dont ever really go above 70 so im not worried. Speed ratings are important and all but they ate T rated, so rated to 118mph, ive never taken my car that high. OE BFGs are W rated so to 168, which my car cant even come close to. The weight for the Camaro is 3,728 lbs and 4,200lbs on a MM im not worried. Here they are on my car

I have 285/50/18's, which yes, do safely fit on unwidened rims - click here for a pic (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v211/straightonchaser/STAP2010/100_3319.jpg). I got Continental CrossContact UHP's before they discontinued them for a little over $100/pc. You can still get 'new' old stock (unmounted) ones on eBay for cheap.

...101 bucks each after shippings/taxes...
What was your source?
I'm wondering how this combination would feel:
Rear - Nitto NT404 285/50-18
Front - Nitto NT420s or NT555 235/50-18

Tire Rack. I called from work one morning, ordered, and when I got home from work the next day, they were on my front porch. I actually said "What the **** is on my front porch?" when I pulled into my driveway, I could not believe they arrived so fast. So for price and lightning fast shipping, I was very impressed. I do not own stock in, or work for, Tire Rack, lol. Just happy with that purchase.

I can't speak to how they would FEEL as I do not have Nitto's all the way around, but the car would LOOK like this (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v211/straightonchaser/WCS_0914.jpg). I have BFG in the front, Continental in the back, with the sizes you mentioned.

I've got close to the same on my Hankooks if not more. Just had them remounted on widened Marauder wheels.
HANKOOKS FTW!!!!!!
