As some of you know I have had to use Trilogy #145 as my daily driver while we rebuild the engine on MM#2, I was on my way home from work in Orlando yesterday and about 35 miles from home I hear this masive thud explosion from under the hood the car lost all power I was able to get the car out of the road and called for flat bed after looking under the hood I found that the A/C compressor expoloaded completely off the block. The dealer called me this morning to let me know it did not damage the block but it took out the tranny lines near by that go to the radiator. if your A/C compressor is squeeling change it before this happens to you. I'm now a man with 2 Marauders and none to drive. Trilogy #145 will be ready from the dealer tomorrow, MM#2 is still apart in the garage,:bigcry:
WTF, WTF, WTF is with my luck:bigcry:

Thinking back, did you think the motor blew? If so, you must have been relieved to find it wasn't a total show stopper. :)

It could be worse!
Your right it could have been worse, I'm just venting I have spent a ton of money in the past few months on both of these cars and the wife is pissed.

I did think the motor went, when I first looked under the car I saw trany fluid mixed with A/C fluid.

That's a new one. WOW!
Sorry about the car, it will get better
Sucks, but I would be breathing a sigh of relief. I had a 1981 Z-28 with working fender vents and a nice hood scoop vented down both sides. I heard a loud shriek followed by a bang and smoke started pouring out every possible opening on the front end of that car. I thought it was engine # 2 saying see ya, but the A/C clutch had froze and the belt spun around it until it couldn't take it any more and flew off. The only car I owned that ever smoked anywhere near like that incident was with my Marauder after a Sea-Foam treatment, lol. Hope both your 'rauders are up and running soon.

You have obviously not met Dave's wife...
Good luck with the cars Dave, I have spent over 2 grand on our Black MM's a/c, along with a total dash removal to replace the stupid blend door.

Jim I have the blend door issue also but I have the acctuator and will replace it myself I found that if I run the A/C diagnostic test I can get the air cold but if I try to adjust the temp to heat the blend door starts to malfunction so I just leave the setting at 60 degrees it works fine.

Same here Dave, we did it ourselves too but what a major PITA! Now every time I change the settings I cringe.

Damn Dave that sucks. Wonder if the pulley noises we have been chasing was the compressor getting ready to crap out.
Going to have Jake check mine out because of all the noise the compressor has been making lately.
I'll call you on my way home tonight.

Dave, you DO know what the problem stems from........Trilogy #145 was getting jealous of the attention you were giving the new MM. If you ever park them next to one another, they're going to go at it. :D
