I had my new Wilwoods from TCE installed yesterday...good mechanic at nearby tire store... but first time he had installed after market kit...
so he was extra cautious (he also knows how picky I am :D)...
I stood by while he worked (moral support). When he questioned the way things were going I'd call Todd at TCE... I think we called four times :help:...
Like everyone here at MercuryMarauder.com has said... he's a good guy and willing to help even when the questions may have been a little dumb...
Anyway I learned how to install the kit too...
Put them through the break-in right after install...
This combination has not been done before so here it is:
Ford Racing Bullit Wheels: No. M-1007-S1885-B
These require a 55mm spacer with stock setup and just bearly cleared the Wilwood Calipers so we installed the spacer that TCE provided too (apprx. 1/16"). Appears to be plenty of space and still good treads for lugs.
QUESTION: Does anyone make replacement studs that are only 1/4" longer than stock...?
Thanks for everyones recommendations and help here..

So, what is your final wheel offset compared to the stock wheel? I am very interested in a brake upgrade, and it seems a wheel upgrade is near-mandatory. But I have some experience with a Crown Vic that got aftermarket wheels that were 'close' in offset, and the truth is it degrades steering and suspension component wear.
So I am very interested in which, if any, wheel/spacer combinations preserve the factory suspension geometry and scrub radius while allowing decent brakes.

The TCE kit comes with a 1/16 inch spacer so the stock MM wheels will clear the calipers. That 1/16 will not affect the factory suspension geometry and scrub radius.

If I recall, all the major stores NAPA, Advance,ect.... Have studs, but they are all a little different. Some the threads don't go as high as others, some are taller. Guess ya gotta do a little hunting to see the differences for your application....
Great looking combination:beer: Glad to hear Todd took care of you.
I drove new 5.0 Mustang a couple weeks back with the Brembo brake package and 3.73's.... The package on that car cut speed so fast, I thought I was driving an exotic. Hope ya get to the same result with the Wilwoods :banana2:

The TCE kit comes with a 1/16 inch spacer so the stock MM wheels will clear the calipers. That 1/16 will not affect the factory suspension geometry and scrub radius.
I was referring to the Bullit wheels with spacer setup. Stock Marauder wheels require a thinner caliper, pads and rotor. The brake-friendly wheels not only allow 14" rotors, but thicker, beefier hardware as well.
And if you add a 1/16" spacer to stock wheels, you certainly have changed the scrub radius . . . by about 1/16". Admittedly not much, but these dimensions do matter.

How is your Marauder`s stopping power now???
I have been pondering going with Baers up front for a while now, just waiting till I can pull the trigger $$$

It's much much better, but not great....if I try to compare it to my wife's G-35 Infinity sports coupe with sport package...no comparision... the G-35 will detach your retinas...
Remember these were just installed an just bedded-in...
AND I've not had a good strong panic stop since bedding in process...
so some additional time may produce better results...
Sorry I can't give you more information at this point...listen to the guys who have had this setup a while...
