Had the car parked for about 4 weeks.
Battery dead.
Just tried to jump it with another car. Got about 12 volts on the meter, and some batt function while connected to assisting car, but when I turned the key... nothing.
Tired again, and then nothing at all.
Do I need a new battery?

Was the volt meter just registering the charge coming off the assisting battery?
When I cracked my car, mine was still dead?
Did you get anything when you hit the key? Door chimes, dash lights, etc. etc.?

Yes, I got door chimes, etc, But when I cranked to start, all went dead again.
Tried again, next time got absolutely nothing.

Dead. I would take it to Autozone or Advance Auto or whoever and have them test it for ya. It may be a dead cell or something causing it not to hold a charge.

In progress. It was a $200 battery, too, which is a shame because it's all my fault for leaving it still for that long.

Holy crap, how old is it? Maybe it just needs an overnight charge.

check the water on it. if it needs some, refill with destilled water and put it to charge on 2amps overnight. if that dont work get a new battery and be done with it.

Yeah, I'm going to try to charge it first. It's about 3 years old.

Take it to Autozone and get it tested. They will charge it for an our or less and tell you if it holds a charge/if it's good or not.
Do that and you'll have your answer.

My Marauder would sit for months in the winter time without starting her and she would still crank over with the fuel pump fuse pulled to get the oil flowing and then start her after I put the fuse back in. And this was with the original battery that I finaly changed this year to a new Interstate.
So ya I would say the battery is not doing it's job anymore even only being 3 years old.
Check and clean your connections on it though just for ha ha's and a little dielectric grease on the connections to make sure they do not arc is always a good deal too seeing you got them off to clean and make sure they are tight.

I think you should change the battery. it should start even after sitting that long.

Autozone charged it overnight for free.
But I only got 10 volts on the meter when I turned the key.
Wouldn't start the engine.
I'm going to grab a brand new Duracraft for 99 bucks and hopefully be done.

I ended up taking the Optima batt to a local Autozone. Eventhough I didn't buy it from there, and the guy could only take my word for how old it was, he gave me a warranty replacement for $100 which was a great deal...
I had no idea I'd get that kind of old school service from Autozone.
