I have been hunting for a squeak in my dash for a while now. Today I took it to a new level. I removed the cluster radio and all of the trim. I'll use a gps to report my speed. The squeak only happens between 60 and 70mph. I'll try different methods while at speed. First is to just reach in and try and stop the squeak by grabbing different parts of the support structure. Next, I'll try the rubber hose trick using it like a stethoscope. If that doesn't work I'll just spray random shots of silicon lube into the dash. Wish me luck!

You need someone to ride with you to press on different areas of the dash to either eliminate the squeak or change it.

That's the plan but I'll try it solo first.

I will pay $100 to the person who can find the squeak in my passenger door and rattle somewhere in the trunk area - can't reproduce them without driving and can't pinpoint them without being closer to them.

Makes me want to sell the car some days.

All you had to do is say, "John, I'll give you $100 if you help me find the squeeks..."

Call me when you want to find it/them.

Found the first suspect today. Just to the left of the glove box. Hit it with a little silicon spray. Hopefully it was the one. Will find out tomorrow on my drive to and from work!

I solved any noisy squeaks problems--if there were any to begin with- by a louder rumble with an upgraded exhaust sound----at least squeaks are not a problem in my MM..........carry on----------and good luck--------

Oh yeah--BTW, still love that dead petal I got from ya at MVIV--thanks again

Removed more pieces tonight. Still can't find it. I'm starting to think it may be outside in the cowl. The squeak started when I had my windshield replaced. I wonder if it's related.

Thanks to having to replace my blend door actuator I have found and killed my squeak! It was the bango nuts on the airbag module. A little teflon grease and all is quiet again.
