Does anyone have any feedback on these tires? I am sorry to see that I can no longer acquire a KDW2 for the rear; these seem like a competitively priced alternative. If I could get another 3+ years and 30K miles out of these I would be happy. I am kind of in a pinch because I have to pay for school in 2 weeks and also need tires to pass my inspection, which is six days past due.

There are two used KDW2 tires on eBay right now. Search under 255/55-18 bfgoodrich

I would bite on those but their tread depths differ

What do you mean, the tread depths differ??
And they are 245/55/18..

Yes, the stock size it 245/55/18. I, like many others, went to the 255 because the stock size was extremely hard to come by a few years ago and the stock BFGoodrich tire really sucked; mine wore out every 15K. What I mean by "the tread depths differ" is just that. The two KDW2s that are qued up by the aforementioned search display different amounts of wear.

After replacing the OE rears every 12K miles or so, I switched over to Nittos 420s. They wore like iron and were great for me in the rain.

The new Firestones that you linked seem to have a very similar thread pattern.
If it were me, I would try out the Firestones. However, the Nittos are a sure thing.

I'll be sad the day I end up replacing my KDW2 rears but I'll change to 265/50-18 at that point.

Search for 255/55/18 s in any brand. I think I currently have Dunlops on the rear. Around 125 each I think they were. I had my service guy search for cheapest 255/55/18s. I would rate them about the same as OEMs so far, but they are still pretty new.

Unfortunately, it seems as if the Nittos are out of stock. I guess Ill go with the Firestones.

Ah gotcha, thought you meant the treads were different depths on the two particular tires for sale.

Just my opinion, but I'm not too happy with the Nittos (420). If I can't get the stock BFG's next time, I'm leaning toward the Goodyears. On the pricey side, but I like the feel at high speeds better than the Nittos.

Yeah, I am also thinking about the Goodyear F1 GS-D3s simply because I would be able to buy a matching pair of 235/50/18s for the front end. They are expensive but I like the look.

Used these for two years while in NY and they wore well with no problems. Good in the rain and okay in snow (until winter really hit). Am going back to OME because I was able find a couple of new ones on Ebay for cheap.

I sucked it up and picked up 2 Goodyear Eagle F1's. I really am happy that I will be able to get a matching set of front tires when the time comes. When I go for the fronts, I will have the car aligned to Carfixer's specs to save the tires. I have been really good about allocating my money for education rather than the Marauder, of late. I would have to say that these tires are necessary to get me to and from both work and school safely; eventhough they are probably overkill (relitivism just makes me feel better). Thanks for all of the input guys, I appreciate your willingness to help.

Did BFG finally discontinue the OEM tires for the Marauder? I finally got mine after waiting 10 months, and another couple weeks after finding out they were made inside out......
I hope they will continue making these in the future. Maybe not the best tire in the world, but I like how they look and the fact that these are the tires the car was originally sold with.

BFG's suck... to put it mildly.
There are much better handleing and longer lasting tires out there.

I have replaced my front tires with Dunlop. I used the stock tires until 2011 then went with Falken, but after talking to the rep at America's Tires in Pasadena, CA, he recommended the Dunlops. They were $144 each. Out the door with warranty was 389. If they have the same for the rear or bigger size I will try. I have a source that still can get the BF Goodrich stock tires but they range about $220-249 and they are out of state.

I have no feedback on these tires, but you might consider these.

159.00 fronts, 155.00 rears
I have nothing bad to say about them, but on my MM they have performed above my expectations, and a 40,000 mile warranty. Some other member have these and have been reviewed and discussed on a few threads.

The Firestone Destination ST is a light truck SUV tire. I would stay away plus the front size for our cars will NEVER be made in the same tire/brand.
If you do want a Firestone matched set the Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval AS is available. Fronts are on sale, rears are not :)
