Plus they're a dime a dozen. I'll stick with my low production, slightly mysterious and oh so beautiful Marauder. I had a 15 year old kid at the Cruise night walk right past all the Cameros and brand new Mustangs to ask me about my car and shake my hand after saying "I didn't know an American car maker could make such a beautiful machine!"

Its a dog ugly wanna be retro ride, If I were to trade for a new Pony car it would be the new 5.0 Stang
But before I did the swap on any of them I would have to spend 9-10 hours seat time and see if I need EMTs to get me out at the other end.
Now about the Megan Fox inclusion, you can keep the robot stuff but I might consider the Camaro and the EMT treatment if she were part of the deal!!

As someone who has 2 faast mustangs, don't do it. The Marauder is truely an awesome car and they simply don't make cars like these anymore. It won't be the same, you'll regret it. Not worth it....or the car payment.

Personally, I don't care for the new Camaro very much. I actually kind of thought it was okay at first, but the more I see it, the less I like it. It looks way too toy-like to me. Like a 15 year old kids idea of a race/muscle car. And the aftermarket stuff makes it look even worse. The interior is absolutely retarded. It looks like a robot threw up, then exploded, then threw up again inside the car. Yeah, even a new V6 Camaro is a match for a stock Marauder, but if you just want FAST, there are alot of other options out there (the afore-mentioned Mustang being a good example). Anyway, if you really want to see for yourself, test drive one. Tell us what you think.

I too am at a cross roads. I need to decide whether I should keep my beat up marauder, or sell it / trade to get something a little more practical for my commute to work etc. I am sure I would miss the comforts of the marauder though.
As for trading for a Camaro, no way in hell! I sat in one at a dealership and I hated how it felt to sit in and I hated the windows. I wouldn't do it.

+2!
I thought that they looked 'OK' when I first saw them, but the new Camaro is by far the worst looking of the 3 retro-pony cars offered.
The interior is a friggin' mess:
Those 2 huge "snorkle mask" gauges and then the 4 little, "I can't read them buggers way down there" gauges in the console....WTF?
If you want to be retro, use retro ideas that made sense and were functional!
Don't shove all the auxillary gauges down on the console "because it looks 60s retro".
The radio looks like they grabbed it out of a Toyota Celica and molded it into the dash....:puke:
Have you opened the "trunk" yet?
Try to fit a folding chair and a cooler in that squirrel hole....:shake:
BTW; They are HUGE!
If you want a big car.......stick with a rare, only to get rarer Marauder!

I like the exterior look of the new camaro, I see one in the garage at work, as well as the new challenger. The only thing that really makes me drool is a Mustang GT 500 or the Ford GT. I like Chevys and others just fine. All the above are waaaay outta my price range, and either would have to be fitted with an automatic transmission for me. All the above would need to be in addition to owning a Marauder or other panher for comfort though. Current plan long term is to pay off the MM (again!) and perhaps take out a wee loan for supercharger and a couple other doohickeys after ESP runs out. :-)
Thanks for starting this thread..you guys are cracking me up today and I need it BADLY.

While I'm glad Chevrolet decided to finally build the Camaro (being that it has CORRECT-wheel drive  ), I would never get rid of the Marauder unless it were wrecked beyond repair. Even then, I would probably look at the Challenger first.

Already plenty of Camaros on the road, so hell no I wouldn't sell my MM. I rarely see MM's around here.
If I were to buy a pony car, you can bet it'd be an '11 Mustang, which outperforms the Dodge and Chevy 'competitors' in just about every category.

Lol I for one can say it's the first time I actually like a camaro as I've always like the common telephone pole mustang more. I like much of the new camaro as far as styling, interior etc but I'd rather a 2011 Shelby and maybe the amazing new 5.0! Now the marauder is only one, power, comfort, performance with class all wrapped in room for 5! Once you've gotten a tune on your marauder and 4.10's like many suggest here and you got one bad A$$ car!!

Um, I bothered when I had my 02 Z28 convertible...I figured since it was the last year and some rare options I'd wanna know where it stood in terms of production. The closest I got was 1 of about 2100ish. Now, had it been an SS I would've known the EXACT numbers since those were farmed out to SLP. I'm with guspech750 though, those are the rarest of the rare, only 69 ZL-1s were made. Not sure how many LT-4s but it's not like there aren't 15 Marauders for sale at any given time :dunno:

There were 106 LT-4's built. I think 6 went to Canada and 1 to the Middle East. There was also the Project Pumpkin SS with a 383 LT-1 too. Check it out up close. http://inventory.bestofshowautomotive .com/CarDetails_sold_post2010.asp?V IN=131939

Comparing apples to oranges. I bought the MM because I wanted a full sized 4 door rear wheel drive V8. I also have a 91 Z28. Would I trade that for a new one? Not likely. Trade it for a Mustang, probably not..but...a Challenger SRT Super Bee...for the "Right Price"!!!

Not saying anything bad, just curious that you are 59 and have had only 1 car for 6 years. I had a 56 Ford PU for 16 1/2 years, a 71 Nova for 12 (traded in for Z) 91 Z28 for 18 1/2 years (and still counting) and the MM for 7 (and still counting).
