Closed on my new Silver 04 MM!!!

They let me take it home for two days to test drive and I was hooked! The growl of the engine on startup... Powering past other cars on the highway... All this and one of the most comfortable rides I've ever owned. I also loved the dealer and thought I got a really fair deal. Get this... I walk in and they sold the only Marauder within a hundred miles of my house just minutes before... Two days later they got me another to take home for a two day "test drive." (Of course it had 208 miles on it after the drive from Houston, but I couldn't complain) Anyway it looks, sounds, and feels awesome so I had to share this with someone! Any tips on breaking in the engine?

WOW! Another silver one sold. There seems to be a lot of people with silver MMs checking in on the board. That's a good thing. Congrats on your new purchase. I made a wise choice.

Welcome to the Marauder net--I've had mine for 8 months and 16,000 miles and the smile isn't gone yet. Break-ins have varied as much as the owners have. I am sure the drive from Houston has loosened up the engine--just don't abuse it too soon. I didn't do a max rpm shift until it had about 800 on it--use automatic--manual shifting is tricky. Search the threads for "Break-in" and I am sure you will get plenty of advice. There are over 1,000 Marauder owners on the net---got questions, we have answers---Soooo , enjoy your Marauder, get active on the net and keep smiling. By the way, where are you ?--there are quite a few owners spread all over East TX and LA. MAury

Congrats on the new Marauder! I've had mine 8 days now and I haven't stopped smiling when I am behind the wheel. The heated seats work great now that it's gotten cold, and it is a great traveller on long trips.

With all the new Silver MM's I wonder if it is outselling black. The silver looks great, especially with the blacked out grille. Congrats again and hammer down!

Congrat's on your new MM. I've always said, "Drive one and you'll buy one."
I just traded the '03 for an '04 nine days ago. Just rolled over 1,000 miles last week in four states. Three adults, trunk load of luggage and presents. 20 mpg first 500 miles. 23 mpg second 500 miles at 77 mph with 20 mph crosswind coming back from Dallas to Memphis.
