just installed my 2006 escape audiophile head unit and its amazing! i love the factory look with out the cassette and i love the 6 disc. its so nice to have my factory sub back in action and my steering wheel controls. cant wait to drive to work tomorrow. i also installed the new (to me) gauge surround that i got from blackmobile a while back to get rid of these 2 holes the previous owner decided to put in it. i did all this in the 101* heat, actually i had the car running with the AC on, WIN.

I must say that was one FUGLY radio before! I love my Audiophile also!! I see that you have some of that interior paint scratching issue? So far i've been really lucky and only noticed 2 or 3 little scratches on the misses window switch trim piece.:mad2: Lookin good Bro.

yeah its pretty lame the paint scratches so easily. just another thing to add to the list, why the hell couldnt they just get plastic int hat color instead of painting it

hmmm is that only an ipod adapter Bob? i dont use an ipod i use my phone that uses a 1/8th mini jack.

I believe the 1/8" jack is the same for both. The 1/8 th jack on the bottom of ipods are for the audio. The bigger rectangle hole is only for charging. Maybe call them in the morning, they are great people to deal with and actually care about customer service!
