The Pearl is underway!

Starting my 1000 mile trek from Charleston, SC to Saratoga Springs, NY. Most of my trip will take me along I-95 and I'll be passing through Richmond, Washington DC, Philadelphia and anywhere else I feel like stopping.

So be on the lookout for the Black MM pulling a U-Haul trailer over the weekend.

Combined weight of 6000 lbs and she pulls this trailer (1800lbs loaded) almost like nothing is there.

I don't mind making small detours if anyone along the way wants to meet up for lunch/dinner/whatever, the more the merrier!

I plan on getting to DC this evening. I'd like to lock the trailer somewhere and spend Saturday touring the DC area. I haven't been there since I was 12 so I'd like to visit some key places again.

There's definitely enough time to meet up while I'm in the area.

Just gassed up and got 18.5 mpg avg. Seems kinda low but I guess that should be expected towing an 1800 lb brick that's taller than the car.

Change-O-Plan... It's supposed to rain all day here in DC and be sunny tomorrow, so I'm going to stay here today and tomorrow, skip Philly, and drive straight to NY on Monday. So if you're in the DC area, let me know, I definitely have the time!

Took over 500 pictures today! Gonna sort through them and post the highlights in my Photography thread.

Tomorrow will definitely include Arlington Cemetary and the Pentagon. Depending on time, I may or may not also visit the Lincoln Memorial up close, and get some shots of the White House.

I got bothered once about it in SC, but that was only because they were harassing me because the exhaust was too loud. Now that I'm out of SC and still have SC plates I'll probably never get bothered about it.
