aight, I want better brakes for Phoebe. I already have slotted rotors, Wagner TQ pads, and SS brake lines, so I'm thinking new calipers. Is there anything between stock and the ultra-expensive Wilwood/Baer/Brembo setups that anyone has had good luck with?

No, there are no "better" Panther bolt-on calipers. Instead of shelling out for the Baer/Wilwoods, I put Terminator front brakes on my '03 MM, it does require some planning and "hole widening" but if you are comfortable doing brakes, it's no big deal. Look for my post on the other site; since you already have the SS lines you should be able to do this upgrade for about $500-600. Lidio has driven it and was pretty impressed by the setup :D

Do the SS lines bolt up to the Cobra/Mach1 caliper's? Hmmmm.

Personally I'd be a little leery on "hole widening".

One thing you don't want to do is screwup your brakes

Yes, I bought Todd's standard MM kit and it bolted right up. Adjustments were required to avoid rubbing, but from what I have heard that is also an issue with the OE calipers.

I don't have any reservations about the safety of this mod... if someone in my family had a 03+ Panther and $700 to throw at brakes, I would do it to their car too without losing any sleep.

If you don't do the brake upgrade at least do the SS lines. Much better pedal feel.

I found the post explaining the terminator brake upgrade conversion sounds sweet. My only concern is enlaging the caliper bracket mount holes. I would probably have a machine shop center & drill. As for the spacers I would also have the machinist cut spacers to cover the full mounting surface.
