The FM stereo in my Marauder is not getting good signal. It works OK in a big metropolitan areas but when I go out away from this area the stereo light flickers and sometimes goes out all together. When I travel to Pennsylvania I get no signal and the radio is useless. Is this the stereo or could this be the Radio Antenna isolator box?

It's the radio. A common problem. You have some options

Get it repaired or replaced

Install an Audiophile unit (6-CD changer & plays MP3's). Search for it

Install an aftermarket headunit

Another option would be Satellite Radio. I have Sirius on mine and it is Awesome!!!!!, works everywhere

I used a Pioneer touch screen head unit. All of my reception issues cleared up and the sound quality tripled just off the head unit alone

I replaced mine with an AVIC-D2, touch screen, nav, MP3, etc.

What I've done in past vehicles that had a DIN 1.5 is get a regular headunit and also purchase a powered EQ then piggy-back the units together and fills up the space and gives you more power and sound.

6L8T-18C815-FD is the p/n of the model you want. It runs the factory sub and there is no need for the stock changer as the audiophile system is a 6-disc in unit player. Everything is right at your finger tips including steering wheel control function.

Mine did the same and driving through the southern part of Georgia on the way to Florida
it started working and today it's still working perfect. Just a matter of tunning.
One company wanted to charge me 319 dollars for repairs. Go figure.
