Marianne and I were heading home on eastbound Route 70 between Hagerstown and Frederick, Md. Sunday evening around 6:00 pm.
We were caught in the usual traffic jam going up South Mountain.
We were in the far right lane and we passed a DTR in the far left hand lane.
I just caught a glimpse of the plates: RACERX or RACERX9...?
Looked like out of state plates.
We never passed each other again in the traffic jam.
Also, There was an 'Alternative Auto' sticker in the back door's window.

BTW: That traffic is ridiculous!
I huge 20 mile rolling traffic jam from Hagerstown into Frederick every Sunday evening.
Got off at the Myersville exit and jumped on Route 40 eastbound.
We had a great 60 mph drive down a beautiful country road and beat the Route 70 traffic jam by miles!
We laughed at how the 4/6 lane 'super highway' that replaced 2 lane Route 40 is now much slower than Route 40!

I think RacerX is from NH. I suppose he could have been slumming though.:D

I just caught a glimpse of the plates...:hmmm:....they could've been from New Hampshire.
If it was him he got a dose of our local traffic congestion which is just as bad on weekends....:(

NH plates are green and grayish with the ole man of the mountain in the background. Though I suppose they need a new motif as the ole man collapsed a few years ago.

Yep, RT 40 is a beautiful ride. We take it often between Frederick and Hagerstown to void the rat race.

Wish it was mine! That would mean it had an engine in it! :( I was in NJ and NY two and a half months ago picking up parts and dropping off parts to fellow members.

I met Robert Epson at MV III in Detroit. He moved to Maryland not long after. He used to live in the Silver Spring/Burtonsville area not far from Safford L-M. Think he dropped by the Safford show once back in 2007 or so. Don't think he has participated in any (or many) of the CAM events.
