Just hold it up there with your hand, geeesh, people are so lazy and weak in body and mind!

(Holding it with your hand does not count as exercise.)

I wouldn't mind having one as I have a hard-wire kit for my Passport 8500 in the MM.

If I had that big ugly thing hanging from my rear view, I would get pulled over so fast! They don't like radar detectors around here. Plus the LED emergency light that is mounted from my rear view helps. LEOs seem to look the other way when I am speeding. I usually don't go too far over the speed limit. On the highway I usually keep a close eye out 360* for Kodaks.

Thanks, but no thanks. The only issue I noticed with my new hard wired mount up high is the fact that when I flip the visor down, it can no longer read whats coming up behind me, plus if the radio is on I can not see the warnings any longer. I can live with it for now.

Installed mine mounting my Valentine RD about 2 yrs past...looks great and positions the RD for maximum detection...especially in the mountains!

Yesterday 3 CHPS...One "Chase" CHP on a Bike set-up speed trap about 1/2 mile apart...one squad car facing oncoming traffic the other squad car about a 1/4 mile down on the flow side...the CHP on the bike 1/2 mile further down.

Now I have had a number of different RD brands and mounting points and mounts over the past 23 yrs but this one is by far the best for me.

My RD picked up the first 2 without any problem as I approached a hard right curve. The CHP on the Bike give intermittent blips when I passed the 2nd squad car. So naturally I was alerted..Oh yeah the BMW behind me also benefitted from my RD.

hey raven, do you have the Invisacord direct plug to the mirror? I was wondering if our mirror housing could do this, where is the connection and could you post a pic of yours, I am going to pick up an 8500 soon,, thanks
