deck lid spoiler

I have had a rear oem deck spoiler since 2004. I just noticed it was cracked. I am pretty sure it is made of plastic. What type of glue can I use to fix it ?

I believe it is made of fiberglass. I don't know of any glue that you can use.

The OEM's are plastic? Are you sure about that.... I bought one from sparta and it was fiberglass.

yes, the second one you sold me is plastic as well as the one on my car.

If it is FRP (fibreglass reinforced plastic, commonly called fibreglass) a 2 part polyester resin or better yet, a 2 part epoxy resin should work fine. If it is plastic, without knowing exactly what plastic is used, I cannot make any recommendation.

the aftermarket ones are true glass, oems have no reinforcement, thats why they crack so easy if miss handled. BUT the aftermarket ones fit like ****.

I'am quit sure it is a low quality extruded plastic. I wouln't be surprised if it had a recycling number on the bottom. Just another quality product. Most likly my generated air turbulace from walking by the car on the way to the garage shed was to much for the spoiler.
