Marauders come with staggered wheel sizes front and back. This needs to be maintained to keep traction control in check.

That is correct for 2004 Marauders.

2003 didn't have traction control.

The rear tires need to be 3% bigger diameter than the fronts so traction control won't complain.

Better yet leave it as it is I wouldn't want to see a Marauder with 24's on the road........... there goes the Marauder wagon........

Right. He said the traction control was acting up, so I was answering his question in regards to it having traction control.

Correction. 2003 300A MM didn't have T/C. The 2003 300B Marauders came with Traction Control. That includes all Blue MMs.

Your friend just needs to turn off his traction control before he starts driving. Otherwise he needs to get a larger rear tire or get a tune with the correction in the tune for the RevsPerMile.

Tune won't fix it. Gotta have the staggered tire size.

Is there a fuse you can pull for the traction control? I don't have T/C so I don't know if it has one fuse, or if the fuse is linked to other systems as well...

The only fix is to shut off TC or install a 03 CV ABS module, please do not use CAPS in bold we all hear fine here

All he have to do is get someone to turn it off with a tune or just turn it off manually I have 24's on mines and it rides good and its really fast. Personally who cares what anybody else does to there car if the person who owns it like that's all that counts.

You can't turn it off in a tune, gotta do as Dennis said...

There is a fuse or relay but it's tired into the ABS, so I wouldn't remove it.

^^^what they all said^^^

Your friend needs to either stagger the tires or turn T/C off every time he gets in it. Many have tried to work around this. None have succeeded.

Just morbid curiosity at this point but do you have any pics of your "friends" car with the 24's?

You're right, I was thinking about the ABS BRAKE lights. I run 16" drag radials so of course they are smaller than the front tires. Normal street tune I get the two lights up, on the drag radial tune Zack did whatever to correct it RPMS and I don't get any lights.

I don't think you can get a staggered tire to fit under the wheel well on a set of 24's where it would correct the problem.

When I ran the stock front size all around I just turned the traction control off before putting the car in Drive and drove like normal with no problems.

Easy and best fix would be to put the original rims back on the car sell the Marauder and buy a CV and put the 24's on:)

No Dave your wrong on this, he can turn traction control switch off, but he will have to do it every time he gets in the car, now you can turn TC off in the tunning but if you do this the ABS and TC light will come on and brake light and stay on, Larry had this problem, with his 04 with 24's, so I would shut it off manually or go with a CV ABS module that does not distinguish between front and rear tire size, it is set up so you can run both the the same size front and rear tires.

I'm glad I don't have TC. They deleted too many little goodies to pay for it. Like the clock, the remote release for the gas, the underhood light...........

Not trying to step on any toes-but I have a 2003 with traction control and I have the same size tires all the way around(not correct size for rear) and for now I avoid the problems by hitting the tracion control button once car is started. It works perfectly for now....In talking to the guys at my local dyno shop the tune will correct that for any rim size!

Still can cause ABS light to flash...

That is not true. The tune can correct the speedometer but not the ABS.

If you have the same size tires on the car the ABS light may flash at high speeds. Especially if the rears wear a little faster than the fronts so they are a bit smaller than the fronts (burnouts tend to cause this).

No matter how many times someone says that someone will always opne their mouth and feel like their opinion is the only opinion that matters on how a car should look.

Powder coated, but they're not really powder coated they're painted or maybe anodized. They're black and don't corrode like the '04.

The only real improvement in the '04 is the transmission.

I thought that's what you meant. Yeah, I like the black. It makes the engine look meaner. Raw aluminum looks kind of crumby. No offense to any 04 guys.
