Cobra Sound

only way its going to sound like a cobra is if u put a trilogy supercharger on it haha thats just my 2cents

You will never get a MM to sound like a Cobra. Our wheel base is too long. The length of the midpipe, and the distance from the midpipe to the muffler's plays alot into how the mustang sounds

I'd say put on some 18" Magnaflows and increase the pipes to 2 1/2 inch with deleted resinator tips should be what your listening for.

nope, that will make it sound even less like a Cobra, I've had that setup.

Install a Roush side exiting exhaust, it will be annoying when driving on the highway cause of the drone but it might work. :lol:

+ remove two cats will get you a sound yes different than but will get the same turn heads result---and besides , why sound like a cobra when this sounds just perfectly different that it will make heads turn---.....it does around mine anyway-------

I don't think I will ever find the sound that I like on a MM. I wish it sounded like a Cobra also. The best sound that I have found to date is Billy Gmans old ride, still not a Cobra sound, but sick indeed.

I personally think a Cobra should have a gurgling-coughing mean sounding exhaust while a big bodied panther should have a low, puring at idle-roaring at WOT exhaust.

I had the 4" round magnaflow packs on a custom true dual set-up in my Vic and it sounded mean but it droned my brain apart, so I got the 6"x9"s mags, still has a deep churning sound and gets pretty loud outside but inside it just barely audible.

I have stainless Works side pipes on my 65 Cobra. Beautiful sound from my
427 SOHC all alloy engine. Loud but beautiful. My headers and side pipes are manufactured to race standards. Very little back pressure, if you know what I mean.

I like their products so well I have complete 3" system from long tube headers
back. Great sound, great quality, fair pricing. Their is another company that does great work. Their name is Pypes.I have stainless Works side pipes on my 65 Cobra.
