Yikes!! Why? Lots of HOT idling. Lots of in and out with door hinges and seat springs paying for it. Cut and mangled electrical system and a car driven a WOT almost it's entire life. That 100,000 mile odometer only states distance driven. More like a 250,000 mile car.

Unless you get a real bargain got to agree with the above. Police cars lead hard lives.

Here is it, price isnt bad, Im wondering myself if it will make them more collectable in the future to have been FHP cars, kind of like the notchback foxbody stangs from around the country

If it was a fox body Stang I would not be scared as those motors were hard to break but would have to agree w/ others 100,000= about 200,000 on a police unit! had a Police notchback some years ago and the guy I sold it to is still driving w/ stock motor! and after I ran a 125 shot nitrous thru it on a regular basis. Couldn't kill those motors (5.0).

This car looks nice!

It sure does... I assumed that it being police duty vehicle it would be pretty beat up and with it having the lighter interior would just show all the nastiness. I guess this Officer took g00d care of her. Hmmmm, I wonder if it'll be worth any $ as Collectors Police vehicle, pretty c00l though.

It looks very clean indeed. But I wonder why is the coolant crossover tube all beat up.

Very nice looking car, and festo's ^^^ right, big difference between highway cars and city patrol cars. Where I live you should see the difference between a 01' MD State trooper P71 and a 06' Metropolitan police DC P71, lol.

Check the vehicle history report, it shows 2 reportable incidents. 1 accident, 1 collision with a ditch. That would probably explain the banged up coolant tube.

Do these things have holes all over the place from mounting strobe lights? What about holes drilled into the tail light buckets etc for the hideaway strobes? Are those just plugged? Just wondering how they come because I know they are decked out in hideaway strobes!

100K on a highway car isnt nothing. I purchased a FHP Marauder on ebay that had been modified by Dennis Reinhart and the car still runs good with 125K on the clock now. Highway cars are much better buys than city cars.

The Stangs and Camaros were actual police or severe service packages from the manufacturer. There was nothing much special about the MMs pressed into fleet service, certainly no factory designation. More than a few MM were run by officers in Hawaii through the "approved personal car program". Does that make them a collectors item?? Same goes for ATF and FBI, my guess is CIA and DEA passed on them due to the fact that they were still viewed by the public as cop-car like with the looks.

Lots of small hicktown sheriffs used MMs, too. Came up as wrecks alot in govt auctions. I guess you could consider anything a collector's item if you can find a buyer who wants one. Sort of like Bondurant's Cobra Vics.

Best of luck in your search, don't give up if you really want one. Took me 6 years of searching to find the rare police car I wanted.

How about a Georgia Sherriffs car. I have mine for sale with 107,800 miles for $7800.00 on this website.

It's cool, especially if you have the calender with them in it.

As far as buying ex-cop cars, having owned my 23 year old ex-Patterson NJ PD Crown Vic for more than 7 years now and having driven it cross country with still the original VV and engine and an odometer that has exceeded its display so no one knows how many miles are actually on it (your guess is as good as mine), I think that as with any used car you want to "kick the tires" etc. before you buy. I actually bought mine, sight unseen on ebay, so I guess I got luckly that its been mostly care free miles. I still drive it in to work occasionally and drive it on the weekends.
