If your thinking of the Gilmour hose end sprayer, look in a Target or other store for a hose end attachment which is much cheaper and works as well.
The foam lance, which works much better attaches to a power washer with adapters that AG sells. My opinion, get the lance as you will need a power washer to rinse off the vehicle before you do a hand wash using the two bucket method. You may get better advice by doing a search on AG. See what soap is recommended to get the best results with either method.

I buy most of my stuff from AutoGeek. Get some Dodo Juice Purple Haze soft wax, one of the best waxes I have used for black colored cars, really makes my 08 Taurus shine more compared to wax brands you can buy from a auto parts store.

I got the foam cannon. It really is awesome!

But you need a good pressure washer, as the foam density is proportional to the amount of soap and force behind it. All you have to do is turn the foam proportion valve off to get just water for rinsing.

They're just showing how the product they're selling works, not the complete process. You still need to do a hand wash using the two bucket method after a good soak with either product then a rinse before a hand wash.

nope, its a presoak. After this you follow up with buckets. The presoak lifts the dirt and you arent rubbing it in while washing, therefore no scratches.

Also the grit guards for the wash buckets is a must!!

Rinse the car off to get as much debris as possible off
Use a separate wash mitt to clean the wheels & tires
Use the foam gun to coat the car
Use the 2 bucket w/ grit guard / 2 wash mitt method
