EVEN, with 35-40psi in it.

BFG's wore on the inside badly, Proxy's did, and the Nitto's on there now did!

Rear tire btw.

I'm using Falken Ziex Z-01 255/55/18 in the back. Been on for about a year now. I keep 'em around 45psi (max psi of 50). They're wearing pretty evenly. Think I paid around $110 for the rears each.

generals at max psi minus 2 psi work great for me as well as eagle f1's same thing

My toyo proxes are wearing pretty even I do run them at 35psi.
They have been on the car since 45k miles, now at 61k they are ready to be replaced. But I have treated them pretty intense.

BTW. They stick pretty good @ 20psi when they are warmed up.

Still running my BFG kdw2, I think I have about 50k miles on mine and maybe 3/32 left.

No. I got it with 53,800. Now it seats at 61,234. Most of the miles have been two trips to Miami.

Not sure of the exact miles, but my Nitto 420s have 30+k on them with even wear. 40PSI.

Usually it's the centers that wear on the BFG's. If your inside rears are wearing prematurely you have more than a tire problem. Since there isn't much if anything to adjust in rear suspension seems like something might be bent.

my Falken's have good wear in the centre, but they get spun alot.

+1 or bad wheel bearings, axle tubes bent. my bearings went bad and would wear tires BAD in the inside.

Center rear wear can also be caused by driving style. My Nittos are showing center wear, just like the BFG's.

Nexen 255/55/18 V rated 37K half way worn out, wearing evenly. Even with a couple of trips to the dragway.

I think I'm going to put on a set of Sumitomo HTR Sports in the 255/55 size. NTB has them, and they're the only tire around that anyone has in stock.

Nothing is bent or bad....

If something was bent it would have an un even side/side pattern.

When I say inside I mean.... [tread OK, TREAD WORN, Tread OK] guess I should say middle.

Its just frustrating. I don't really rail on them that much. Maybe 1 tire squeal launch a month. The fronts are what should be destroyed by my driving, not the rears. Besides I'm not only at altitude but I'm N/A. Its not like I'm destroying them with power.

I seriously have 1 year on the 420's. About 8k.

How in the HELL are you guys putting 30k+ miles on tires?! Do you drive on glass smooth asphalt?

I do a lot of highway driver but also run winter tires from November to February. I have mine set at 35-36 psi HOT, not 35 psi cold cause the psi will increase 2-3 psi as the tire is driven on and warms up.

It's been recommended by Clinton at http://affordabletireoutlet.com to go with 235/55/18 Goodyear Assurance ComforTred all the way around. While it's a T-rated tire, the UTQG is 700 A B and promises 80k miles. $500 out-the-door each car (including mounting, balancing, and tax). He said most of the other larger sizes will crown and wear out the centers.

I am checking into the price of the Kumho Ecsta LX Platinum in 255/45r18 which is W-rated and UTQG of 600 A A. All the other tires I see mentioned on the forum range from 280 to 400.

I have 255/45/18's in the front. Don't really want to go any narrower than that.

I'm thinking of throwing on the 255/45/18's on the back too. I can live without traction control but doesn't the ABS go *******?

I did that one my BLUE and every time I got in the car I instinctively went for the T/C switch. It's a learned habit. BTW, I had put Yokohama's a 60K rated tire and they went the distance.

I got so used to turning the traction control off from when I ran 235/50-18 that it's habit to do it now even with no need to.

FWIW, I have HANKOOKs Ventus AS RH07 255s on the rears of BOTH cars, but haven't had them on long enough to detect abnormal wear. I'll check them with a tire depth guage when I pull them off in November.

Does the ABS go funny at higher speeds?
