I purchased this from another member on the site and decided not to go that route. It's from a 04 Maruader.
$90 Shipped for the radio and $50.00 shipped for the CD-Changer.
$125 shipped for both.

Ok...why can't I find the harness for the CD in the trunk, if my '04 didn't come with one? Is there another harness I'm missing? I've taken the trunk apart - and nothing!
:mad2:
I know this sounds dumb, but I have been told by other members that the plug for the CD changer should be tucked-away somewhere.

Will check the electrical shop manual but I think it's a separate harness.

According to the 2004 electrical shop manual, the CD changer harness is part of the trunk harness. The picture shows the square black female connector as part of the harness that goes along the back of the trunk between the stop lights. The connector is located close to the left side tail light connector.

Well I've taken the liner from the trunk again (with fastblackmerc's info above), and I'm thinking that maybe if the changer was ordered on the bill-of-sale, the harness that is there is "tapped-off of". I say this because the entire harness from the rear seat to the right tail light, is wrapped - with no connector.
It snakes around containing off-shoots for the fuel shut-off, some Ford sensor (maybe the self-leveler), then to the left tail light, then to the fuel tank, and finally the right tail light.
I'm thinking that stripping the covering off the whole harness is really not a great plan to find out.

If the connector is there you should be able to see it as it's quite large.

I wonder what that 3 x 3" box (with the Ford part sticker) is? It has a big black connector attaching it; but it's screwed to the trunk-frame of the car. It really looks like a sensor or something. Could it be some sort of "dead-patch" for the lack of CD Changer?

Got pictures?
I'll see if I can get a picture of the CD changer connector.

You'd think I would have taken a picture...but no.
Gezzz...that means taking it apart again.
It's right under/next to the on/off switch for the air suspension. Big part number sitcker on the whole thing.

Here are pictures of the Marauder OEM CD Changer connector.
The stud at the top of the picture is for the left taillight.

No sir...I do not have that in the trunk harness. It has got to be a harness from somewhere else - maybe coming from the sub as a power source or something - just a thought; or a different one all together. It is just not on the harness for a car that was not ordered to have the changer. That is really odd; I'm sure you and I are not the only ones that would find this strange.
(thanks for the pics though).

Just use a Escape/Mariner Mach 300 in dash cd changer / radio.
I did. The head unit is way better than the Marauders. Since I was having problems with the tuner locking in, this was a great upgrade for less than $100.
