This is one of those topics that could go in any number of forums, so I'm putting it here because it's kinda generic. Anyway, I finally decided to tackle the great J-mod project on my Marauder today. My old Marquis had the J done to it and I loved it, but I'd never gotten around to doing it on this car.

Had a friend who'd done 5 previous J-mods helping me out, showing me what to do and what not to do.

This is what the pan looked like when we dropped it. The fluid looked and smelled new, but it's at least 20k old and has probably 50-75 quarter-mile passes on it.

Hillbilly jackstands (tires) for the back, a floor jack underneath the front crossmember for support, and yes, there are regular jackstands under the frame. They're just not real visible in any of the pictures...

You can kinda see one of the jackstands in this picture:

Drip drip drip.

Tearing into the valve body for some drilling.

Drilled out the #10 hole for faster engagement into reverse, which I highly recommend! :)

Re-installing one of the accumulator pistons:

At this point, we kinda gave up on pictures.

Put everything back together, checked fluids, and road tested. I was running a Zack tune with 5% more trans pressure. During the road test I found this to be a perfect setup...though I might back it down to 0% increase. We'll see.

Anyway, when I was putting those^ pictures online, I found some recent shots on my memory card, so here ya go. None are great, but what else do you have to do? Nothing! So enjoy 'em and shut up. :D

And since MM.net restricts posts to a total of 10 pictures, here's the 11th picture I was unable to post...

I bet you get pulled over a lot with that plate cover, you can't even read the plate.

Nice shots of your car, looks good.

Believe it or not, even without the blurring, it's illegal to have a tinted plate cover in Ohio! But usually it's the speed or the window tint that get me pulled over...

I am aware of Ohio law, any covering over the plate, clear, tinted or otherwise is illegal in Oh-hoho. You gotta love it.....
