2 seasons ago I spotted his Black Marauder in the background on ESPN. He was pulling a few things out of the car as they were preparing for Training Camp. Not to long ago NFL Network was showing the Bengals Hard Knocks from last season and the camera man was riding with Chad, I recognized the steering wheel. I have never seen anyone else make this Post. Just wanted to enlighten the family........

I posted a thread about Chad's Marauder about 2 years ago (summer 2008) I saw the same clip on ESPN. i don't know if the link is still active or if you can find the clip on ESPN.com.
He was taking boxes out of his Marauder while reporters were hounding him. You can briefly see the MM in the background of a couple of shots.
I don't have HBO so i haven't seen any of the Hard Knocks shows...

Here is some confirmation of this. (http://blog.taragana.com/e/2009/07/31/bengals-get-first-moment-in-tv-spotlight-find-attention-a-little-unsettling-20868/)
"GEORGETOWN, Ky. — The black Mercury Marauder with tinted windows backed up to the sidewalk in front of dorm room No. 113. The driver’s door slowly opened, and receiver Chad Ochocinco popped out with a smile, ready to start unloading."

For those who don't know who he is I googled him and he is a wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals football team

Yes, but if your a NFL fan, this guy is probably one of the most well known receivers. He gets fined weekly for doing funny end zone celebrations. And unlike most of the professional athletes, he doesn't drink or party or get in bad situations. He tweets all the time, and is a character. I'm not a Bengals fan, but I find it kind of cool he owns a Maruder. He is currently a Top 15 Wide Receiver in the league.

Ocho is a hoot, but Clinton Portis is funnier. And Clinton didn't have to change his last name to his jersey numbers like Eight Five did.

I have heard of him, but not SUPER familiar with him. I find it kind of cool when any celebrity owns a marauder. Andy Dick owned a marauder and evethough he is a ra-tard, it is still kind of cool to know that celebrities have the same car as you and decent taste in cars OBVIOUSLY!

True, but I gotta love changing the name to his jersey number in spanish. Hell the NFL even let him put on jersey's and sell them (ofcourse so they could make a pretty penny as well)

Think about it a little more, it'll come to you. I didn't say I didn't know anything about sports I said for those of us who don't follow sports. I gave up on football when it became illegal to tackle anybody especially punters, kickers and Qb's. Overpaid babies is all I see.

freakin sadI consider myself a man, too, and I could care less about some ludicrously overpaid, underworked, illiterate, high-school dropouts who get paid millions of dollars a year to sit on a bench most of the time.

yeah u dont know shid. And you think you do? Well, know this: it's because of those same overpaid "boys" that it costs a family of four almost $200 to see a SINGLE major league baseball game.
A football game is even higher.
Professional sports is out of control.

I just looked him up. I was right. Another crybaby "Heroe".
On January 13, 2008, Ochocinco was a guest on ESPN's Mike & Mike (http://www.mercurymarauder.net/wiki/Mike_and_Mike_in_the_Morning) radio show. During the interview, he addressed how the media and team treated him during the 2007 season, saying, "I was labeled selfish and a cancer, and it hurt...Fingers were pointed at me this year. If the team and the organization wants to further itself (make the playoffs), I think you need to get rid of the problem...It hurt me. To do me that way and not to have my back. Things were said, and nobody came to my defense."

Like him or not, or think he's overpaid or not, it's still a celebrity (even if you don't know him) that owns a Marauder and I think that's cool.
However, jumping up on the soapbox here, we can't blame athletes for wanting the most money they can get. The owners started this mess. In the 60's the Jets of the AFL were so desperate to become a respectable and competitve league to the NFL, the owner put up a ton of money for the time (over $600K) to sign Joe Namath.
Up until this time, football players made very little and held regular full time jobs outside of football. Then the owners became really competitve in getting talent and the floodgates were opened.
So imagine this scenario, a guy working as an accountant making $50K a year is offered $300K from another firm, I would imagine he would jump ship.
So if you are the league leading quarterback and in the NFL contracts are set up that way, wouldn't you also want to be the highest paid. If you are familiar with the NFL, it can be argued that Peyton Manning is the best QB in the league, however, he is not the highest paid. I believe his brother Eli is actually the highest paid, and he didn't even make the playoffs last year. So when a player goes into negotiations, that's how their position is leveled and because the market and the owners set the value at milions of dollars, that's what they negotiate with. Never forget when an owner is desperate to win, there is always somebody willing to pony up the cash.
But yes there is a tendency for many to be crybabies, or selfish a holes. But most of it is bread from immaturity (we forget that they are mostly kids). I will say this though, Ochocinco is one of the higher paid players. He could afford to buy diamonds (but doesn't as shown in the video) and he could afford to buy $250K Lambos, but bought a Marauder. He could party all not on southbeach but doesn't because of his twitter fascination. And I still say that it's cool a Celebrity drives a Marauder.

I admit that it's cool that a celebrity owns a Marauder. I'll also stipulate to the fact that the team owners are as much (or more) to blame as the players.
My comments were directed at Mac-MerC for insinuating Mr Man was somehow less of a man because he knew nothing about sports. There are lots of men, myself included, who could give a flying you-know-what about professional sports and I was kinda insulted at his (admittedly common) attitude.
Mac-MerC, I regret my earlier soapbox rant that was directed at you. I admit my lack of interest in sports is in the minority, but perhaps you shouldn't be so quick to ridicule people who don't place major importance on following the jock-of-the-week.
Truce?

+1, sports are an interest, and it's not an interest of everyone, but definitely does not define if you are a man or not.

We also know that Joe Walsh and Brian Sipe own Marauders. I have personally met them. Don't know how good Joe is on guitar, or if Brian is really still bumming about not beating Oakland at home in 1981 wildcard game though.

If you do some searching you will find when he "tweeted" about how excited he was years ago when he was going to pick up his Marauder. Hopefully he still owns it.
He is a character and one of my fav players in the NFL.
