I was driving west on US 30 in IN making my way onto I-65, when I see a black Fox Body Mustang. I wanted to pull up to him, but traffic was heavy, even at 10pm. After a few miles I got up to him and noticed a lot about his car. 10.5 inch wheels in the back, skinny's in the front, at least four extra gages and on top of that a spoiler that I only see for eight second cars. It didn't even exceed the height of the trunk, just extended it so to say.

I pulled up next to it and said:

"Hey, how much power are you making?"

"Nothing really, the engine is stock."

"Yeah right. I noticed your gages, skinny front tires and have never seen a spoiler like that off a race track. What else is done to that stock engine?"

The guy quit looking at me and acted as if he didn't even hear me. He literally quit looking at me (we were at a light BTW) and just started waiting for the light to turn green. We both had cars in front of us so there was no way I would have been able to play with this guy. When the light turned green he was off and when he cleared traffic he gave it 1/4 throttle and was gone. By the sounds of the engine he had a bottle in the trunk most likely. Not that he was spraying, but the engine did sound stock. I highly doubt it was a Pro Street.

Even if I beat this guy, it would have been because he couldn't hook up or didn't have time to do a burnout.

I do have respect for someone driving a "street car" on the street. If I had more time or the slicks I would have asked where the fun was. Oh well, the year isn't over yet. :burnout:

You should write a book :)

You're not the first to tell me that. All I would have to do is look up all the stories I posted here in the past few years, edit them and make it a go!

Actually Dom, just print your threads and put a cover on it and you're good to go, I'm sure we'll all sign off to have our responses put in the book

You know why not? I know nothing about this form of publishing or how I would word everything with responses from everyone. From the sounds of it, it would be written out like a screenplay. My name and a bunch of words, responses and that's all.

I could start the book with an intro about the car and what I have done to it. I'm really thinking about this. I would need permission from every single person who posted, but other than that I bet it would be done in a week. Simply looking up old postings and editing them.

Maybe pictures of cars I beat and messed around with. Some off of other websites knew the actual car I messed with and posted a picture. This could be full of stories and pictures. I think this could really be something.

In related news POPPAJ is a sexy man.

Dom, do you really think you could speed read through all your old posts in a week? LOL

Don't forget to give credit to those that have worked on your Dads car, those that are currently working on your Dads car and those that now refuse to work on your Dads car. Should be quite a list. Did you find someone to remove that surface rust from the blazer yet?

No one works on my dads car. He needs to shape up before it decides to quit running. As far as my cars go I always give credit where it's due. The Blazer still has rust, but I know how to take care of it now. I just haven't found time and funds need to be going to other places at the moment than rust removal on a 20 year old Chevy.

And there is a good reason for that. Think about it.

I must value mine more than anyone else does.
