I recently came across a very nice fellow who does t-shirt and other apparrel designs in his four car garage. (I do work for his landlord) Young guy with a friend busting his hump like all of us in these tough times. He had a super cool system worked out and I found it to be a fascinating process and hard work indeed. He shot me prices of right around $7-$8 bucks a shirt (he supplies the shirt).
I'd like to keep this a local thing as we allready have Paul to thank for making top notch shirts and hats for the whole forum. (I still have one of the hats in a sealed bag even!)
I really do not want to try again at making a local Chitown shirt as the last go at it just caused grief for Takedown and I. Takedown had put ALOT of time and effort in his design and I kept bugging him and bugging him to spearhead the idea to the point he caved. Needless to say, that didn't end well. If anyone wants to step up and start a basic design, I can email it to him or drive on out to his house. I'm not sure if he is going to renew his lease and it ends in a month or so.
My intentions here are just to share his info and rough prices so us guys that have only been here 3-4 years or less get in on representing like the early birds to the community did back in the day. It has been many many years since new shirts were made and I feel it is way past time to get another run in.
He also has a really good friend he works with on vinyl stickers. He quoted me an estimate of $3-$4 fo a 3" x 12" muticolor design. That is give away price people.
I would have to bet the shirt price was for an elcheapo shirt, so I would expect to pay more for something of quality.
Tell him Bob the Plumber told you about him.
