so i added another marauder to my collection but i have to put some work in it so i convinced my buddy to sell me his 03 mm who is a dumb ass after i repeatedly told him not to drive his car cuz it had be running hot on him he kept doing it so he fukked something up. i changed thermostat, flushed the radiator, burped the system ,water pump is good and so is the radiator so after all this starting to think he blew a head gasket what do yo guys think?

Is there water in the oil, white sludge in the oil dipstick, gas bubbles coming from the radiator? These are all signs of a cracked head?blown head gasket. (not the only signs) What other symptoms do you have?

What's the car doing? Kinda hard to diagnose a head gasket with little information

If it's still overheating and shifting odd after you've tried everything, you should bring it to a reputable shop.
BTW, after changing the thermostat, checking the water pump, etc., you burped the system every time using the instructions exactly? Is it losing coolant? Did you burp the system with the front of the car on a small incline? Anything in the oil, exhaust?

no water or white sludge in the oil there are gas bubbles coming from the radiator i did burping procedure exactly how instructions said and i did it with the car at a incline grey smoke comes out tail pipe on start up sometimes and shifts funny when i drive it .i also noticed when i have it at idle with radiator cap off it doesn't ova heat but when i put the cap on and let it idle it heats up. there are no leaks coming from the car either

The smoke at start-up is normal in some of the 03 Marauders. It will shift weird when it runs hot. With the car cold, fill up the crossover tube in front of the alternator. Also make sure the reservoir is full as well. Then let it idle with the crossover plug loose to get all the air out of it. Sounds like a big air pocket somewhere in the system. Either that or your thermostat is in backwards.

So you say theres no oil in the water and no smoke... What makes you think you need a head gasket? There has to be something leading you to that conclusion. Does the engine diesel while driving above 2000rpm? Any rattling while the engine is under power? You could have spun a main bearing if the engine has no power. Or it could be a burnt valve.
