Has anybody noticed that carbon fiber/dot matrix door trim, like the one on the dash, buzzing or vibrating from the stock stereo? I did some searching, but couldn't find anything specific. When it is happening, all I have to do is hold my elbow against it to dampen it out. Are those trim pieces held on with just tape or something in just a few spots? They look easy to destroy by trying to remove and reinforce the mounting. I'm getting my aftermarket gear installed Friday, and I'm afraid it will just make it worse.
Thanks for any advice!

tell the dealer you want it replaced. I think they have to replace the whole door panel

When you install your aftermarket speakers either you or the installer place Dynamats on the inside panel of the doors . that should help reduce the vibrating on your doors . BTW welcome to the site...http://smilies.sofrayt.com/1/f/spinface.gif

Dot matrix panels on the doors are put on with large plastic rivets. The vibration could be coming from the plastic sheeting between the door and the panel.
Dynomat will stop it.
If it is the dot matrix trim then it can be drilled out and reapplied with screws. I needed to remove the dot matrix on my doors for the custom leather trim I did.

Thanks, I'll try the dynomat before I go the door panel route! I don't like going to the dealer since the last time they jacked up my baby without shutting the air compressor off!
