Trilogy Question - Weight

Just curious about how much the Trilogy kit weighs and if any owners noticed any change to the handling of the car ( ie. does the car need to be re-aligned due to the added weight )? 4200 lbs + ____ lbs over the front end should be a small percentage change front to rear . No question that the kit is worth it's weight for forward thrust .........:rolleyes:

I saw no difference.

I am sure the argument can be made to say "the cars front axle now has 8lbs of added weight and under severe conditions, could cause the car to plow into a poll..."

But in real life, there is no issue.

if i were to guess, its probably close to 100lbs. the blowers are about half of that, then you got the rest of the crap.

Next question - approx. what is the weight of the components that are removed for the Trilogy installation ( 112lbs less _____ lbs = weight increase) . Once installed the weight difference would be approx. .........

id say the lower intake is about 10-15 lbs and the upper is 5-8. other then that, everything pretty much stays.

Last fall (pre-install) while I was at a friends shop checking the alignment, we discussed this topic. So while the car had the alignment heads attached we added about 100 lbs and did see a little change , but not enough to affect anything. It was still in the acceptable range. I am guessing it all depends where the car sits in relation to the specs.
